Virtual Classroom Facilitator   $40,000 USD/year

Description

This role is designed for those who want to energize and support young learners without the burden of grading or curriculum development.

Novatio School is transforming student support with an AI-driven academic model that covers core subjects in two concentrated morning hours. Students then join live afternoon workshops where they collaborate, explore interests, and build skills.

As a facilitator, you'll maintain momentum and ensure seamless operations. You'll guide students through transitions, foster engagement in small groups, and provide encouragement when challenges arise. Content delivery isn't your focus—your impact comes from creating an environment where every session feels effortless and inspiring.

If you have experience guiding young people in camps, athletics, tutoring, or youth initiatives and want to contribute to a school experience that feels meaningful, engaging, and personal, this opportunity is worth exploring.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and supporting group activities
  • Encouraging student participation and boosting confidence through chat interactions, recognition, and one-on-one outreach
  • Maintaining student engagement, connection, and confidence throughout each learning session
  • Providing operational support to lead educators to ensure workshops proceed without interruption
  • Serving as a positive presence and community builder across bilingual programs and club activities

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject matter
  • Developing lesson plans or evaluating student work
  • Building curriculum or facilitating workshops independently
  • Remaining passive—this role requires active involvement and energy

Key responsibilities

Facilitate dynamic virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain engaged, organized, and motivated during each workshop.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to work 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday, US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or working with youth
  • Educational background from US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - must have been educated in one of these countries (current residence may be anywhere)
  • Excellent communication abilities and an energizing, student-centered approach with attention to detail
  • Able to begin by the end of July

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms or youth development programs
  • Experience in after-school initiatives, summer camps, or leading student clubs
