Description

Imagine turning a child's "I can't do this" into "I did it!" without the pressure of creating lesson plans or assigning grades.

Novatio School is revolutionizing education with our innovative approach: AI-driven core academics in the morning, followed by interactive, live workshops in the afternoon where curiosity and creativity take center stage.

As our Remote Youth Program Assistant, you'll be the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps our virtual learning spaces buzzing with positive energy. You won't be teaching content—instead, you'll be the supportive guide who helps students navigate their learning journey, boosts confidence when challenges arise, and ensures every session feels seamless and engaging.

If you've thrived in environments where you've connected with young people—whether at summer camps, coaching sports teams, or leading youth groups—and you're passionate about transforming education into something students actually look forward to, we want to meet you.

What you will be doing

  • Orchestrating the flow of virtual workshops by expertly managing breakout sessions, facilitating smooth transitions, and coordinating engaging group activities
  • Sparking student enthusiasm through personalized encouragement, timely chat responses, and celebratory recognition of achievements
  • Creating a digital environment where students feel seen, supported, and excited to participate
  • Collaborating with our lead educators on technical and logistical aspects that ensure workshop success
  • Fostering an inclusive community atmosphere across our diverse program offerings, including bilingual tracks and special interest clubs

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic content or subject-matter instruction
  • Developing curriculum materials or evaluating student work
  • Taking full responsibility for workshop facilitation without support
  • Observing passively—this role requires your active, enthusiastic participation throughout each session

Key responsibilities

Elevate our virtual learning environment by ensuring students remain motivated, focused, and connected during workshop sessions. You'll be the energy catalyst who transforms ordinary online meetings into extraordinary learning adventures.

Candidate requirements

  • Availability to work full-time (8am-5pm Monday-Friday) in US Mountain Time zone (UTC-7)
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in youth mentorship, coaching, tutoring, or leadership roles
  • Personal educational experience within US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - must have been a student in one of these countries (you can currently reside anywhere globally)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities with proficiency in digital collaboration tools
  • Natural ability to energize groups, prioritize student well-being, and maintain attention to logistical details

Nice to have

  • Prior involvement with virtual learning platforms or youth enrichment initiatives
  • Experience coordinating extracurricular activities, summer programs, or student organizations
