Remote Youth Program Assistant   $40,000 USD/year

Description

This role centers on fostering excitement, confidence, and readiness to learn in young students—without the burden of lesson planning or grading.

Novatio School is transforming the approach to student support. Our AI-driven learning platform delivers core academics in two concentrated morning hours. The afternoons are dedicated to live workshops where students explore new ideas, create projects, and develop personally.

Your focus will be maintaining momentum and ensuring seamless operations. You'll guide students through transitions, facilitate engagement in small group settings, and provide encouragement when challenges arise. Content instruction isn't part of your remit, but your presence will be vital to the success of every session.

If you have experience leading youth in any capacity—whether through camps, athletic programs, tutoring, or community initiatives—and you're eager to make education feel meaningful, intentional, and engaging, this opportunity may be ideal.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and overseeing group activities
  • Encouraging student participation and motivation using chats, verbal recognition, and individualized interactions
  • Ensuring students remain engaged, confident, and socially connected throughout their learning sessions
  • Providing logistical support to lead educators to maintain seamless workshop operations
  • Serving as a culture ambassador and dependable presence across bilingual programming and extracurricular clubs

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject matter
  • Developing lesson plans or evaluating student work
  • Building curriculum or independently facilitating workshops
  • Remaining passive—this position demands active involvement and high energy

Key responsibilities

Facilitate dynamic, virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain engaged, organized, and motivated throughout every workshop session.

Candidate requirements

  • Able to work 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or youth leadership
  • Educational background from US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - attendance in one of these countries required (current residence may be anywhere)
  • Excellent communication abilities and an energizing, student-centered approach with attention to detail
  • Available to begin by the end of July

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with online learning platforms or youth enrichment initiatives
  • Experience in after-school programming, summer camps, or club coordination
