Remote Youth Program Assistant   $40,000 USD/year

Description

Imagine a role centered on helping students feel engaged, confident, and prepared to succeed—without the burden of lesson planning or grading.

Novatio School is transforming the approach to student support. Our AI-driven learning platform delivers essential academics in two concentrated morning hours. Afternoons are dedicated to live, interactive workshops where students explore interests, build skills, and connect with peers.

You'll be responsible for maintaining momentum and ensuring seamless operations. Your work involves guiding students through transitions, fostering engagement in collaborative settings, and providing encouragement when challenges arise. While you won't deliver academic instruction, your contribution will be critical to the success of every session.

If you have experience leading young people in environments like camps, athletics, tutoring, or youth initiatives—and you're motivated to make education feel meaningful, intentional, and engaging—this opportunity may be an ideal next step.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and overseeing group activities
  • Encouraging student participation and motivation through chat interactions, recognition, and individual outreach
  • Supporting students in maintaining focus, building confidence, and feeling connected throughout their learning experience
  • Providing operational support to lead educators to ensure workshops proceed without disruption
  • Serving as a positive cultural presence and dependable resource across bilingual programming and extracurricular clubs

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject-area content
  • Developing lesson plans or evaluating student assignments
  • Building curriculum or facilitating workshops independently
  • Observing passively—this role requires active involvement and sustained energy

Key responsibilities

Facilitate dynamic, virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain engaged, organized, and motivated across each workshop session.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to work Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or youth leadership
  • Educational background within US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16)—must have attended school in one of these countries (current location may be anywhere)
  • Excellent communication abilities and an energetic, student-centered approach with attention to detail
  • Able to begin by the end of July

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms or youth enrichment initiatives
  • Experience in after-school programming, summer camp settings, or club coordination
