Description
This position centers on creating the conditions for children to feel engaged, capable, and eager to participate—without the responsibilities of curriculum design or assessment.
Novatio School operates on a distinctive model: AI-driven instruction covers foundational academics during a concentrated two-hour morning block. The remainder of the day is dedicated to live, interactive workshops where students collaborate, explore interests, and develop new skills.
Your function is to maintain momentum and ensure seamless execution. You'll guide students through transitions, facilitate participation in small-group settings, and provide encouragement when motivation wanes. While you won't deliver academic instruction, your presence will be critical to the success of every session.

What you will be doing
- Facilitating live online workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and overseeing group-based activities
- Encouraging student participation and building confidence through real-time chat interactions, recognition, and individual outreach
- Supporting students in remaining focused, motivated, and socially connected throughout each session
- Providing operational support to lead educators to ensure sessions proceed without disruption
- Serving as a consistent, positive presence and culture advocate across bilingual programming and extracurricular clubs
What you will NOT be doing
- Delivering academic instruction or presenting subject-matter content
- Developing lesson plans or evaluating student work
- Building curriculum or independently facilitating workshops
- Observing passively—this role demands active involvement and high energy
Key responsibilities
Facilitate dynamic virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain engaged, prepared, and motivated throughout every workshop experience.
Candidate requirements
- Willing to work 8am - 5pm M-F US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
- At least 3 years of experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or leading youth
- Educational background in US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - must have attended school in one of these countries (current location can be anywhere)
- Strong communication skills and high comfort with digital platforms
- Energizing, student-first presence with an eye for details and smooth transitions
Nice to have
- Experience with online learning tools or youth enrichment programs
- Background in after-school programs, summer camps, or club leadership
