Description

Imagine a role focused entirely on making students feel motivated, supported, and excited to participate—without the burden of grading or curriculum design.

Novatio School is transforming student support through an AI-driven academic model. Core instruction happens in two concentrated morning hours. Afternoons are dedicated to live, interactive workshops where students explore interests, collaborate, and develop new skills.

You'll maintain momentum and manage the behind-the-scenes flow. Your job is to guide students through transitions, foster engagement in breakout sessions, and provide encouragement when challenges arise. Content delivery isn't your responsibility, but your presence will be critical to ensuring every workshop feels seamless and impactful.

If you've worked with young people in any capacity—tutoring, camps, athletics, community programs—and you want to help reimagine what school can feel like, this role offers that opportunity.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and supporting group dynamics
  • Encouraging student participation through direct messaging, positive reinforcement, and one-on-one touchpoints
  • Ensuring students remain engaged, motivated, and connected throughout their learning experience
  • Providing operational support to lead educators to maintain smooth workshop flow
  • Serving as a consistent, approachable presence across bilingual programming and student clubs

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject-area content
  • Developing lesson plans or evaluating student assignments
  • Building curriculum or facilitating workshops independently
  • Observing passively—this role demands active involvement and high energy

Key responsibilities

Facilitate dynamic, virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain engaged, organized, and motivated across each workshop session.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to work 8am - 5pm M-F US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in youth mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or leadership roles
  • Educated within US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - must have attended school in one of these countries (current location may be anywhere)
  • Excellent communication abilities and an energetic, detail-oriented, student-centered approach
  • Able to begin by the end of July

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms or youth development programs
  • Experience in summer camps, after-school initiatives, or student club facilitation
