Student Engagement Facilitator   $40,000 USD/year

Description

This role centers on making students feel confident, energized, and prepared to engage—without the burden of grading or curriculum design.

Novatio School is reshaping how student success is supported. Our AI-driven learning platform delivers core academics in two concentrated morning hours. Afternoons are dedicated to live workshops where students explore interests, build skills, and collaborate.

You'll maintain momentum and ensure seamless operations. Your focus will be guiding students through transitions, facilitating engagement in small groups, and stepping in with encouragement when motivation dips. You won't deliver academic instruction, but you'll be critical to ensuring each session operates flawlessly.

If you have experience leading young people—whether in camps, athletics, tutoring, or youth organizations—and want to help make school feel intentional, engaging, and meaningful, this opportunity is worth your attention.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and guiding group activities
  • Encouraging student participation and boosting morale through chat engagement, recognition, and individual outreach
  • Keeping students engaged, confident, and connected throughout their learning experience
  • Supporting lead educators with operational logistics that ensure workshops function smoothly
  • Serving as a culture champion and reliable presence across bilingual programming and club activities

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject matter
  • Developing lesson plans or evaluating student work
  • Building curriculum or facilitating workshops independently
  • Observing passively—this role demands active involvement and high energy

Key responsibilities

Facilitate dynamic, virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain engaged, organized, and motivated across all workshop sessions.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to work 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday, US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or youth leadership
  • Educational history within US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - must have been a student in one of these countries (current residence may be anywhere)
  • Excellent communication abilities and strong familiarity with digital tools
  • Energetic, student-centered approach with attention to detail and seamless facilitation

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with online learning platforms or youth development programs
  • Experience in after-school settings, summer camps, or student club leadership
