Virtual Learning Assistant   $40,000 USD/year

Description

Imagine a role centered on making children feel confident, enthusiastic, and prepared to engage—without the burden of grading or designing lesson plans.

Novatio School is reshaping student support through an AI-enhanced learning framework. Core academics are delivered in two concentrated morning hours. Afternoons are dedicated to live, interactive workshops where students explore new ideas, collaborate, and develop their skills.

You will maintain momentum and ensure seamless execution. Your focus will be guiding students through transitions, supporting engagement in small group settings, and stepping in to encourage learners when they need a boost. You won't deliver academic instruction, but your presence will be vital to the success of every session.

If you have experience leading youth in any capacity—whether through camps, athletics, tutoring, or community programs—and you want to help make education feel meaningful, engaging, and personalized, this role may be the right fit.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and organizing group activities
  • Encouraging student participation and maintaining motivation through chat interactions, recognition, and one-on-one engagement
  • Supporting students in staying focused, confident, and socially connected throughout their learning sessions
  • Providing logistical assistance to lead educators to ensure workshops operate efficiently
  • Serving as a positive, consistent presence and culture advocate across bilingual tracks and student clubs

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject matter content
  • Developing lesson plans or evaluating student assignments
  • Building curriculum or facilitating workshops independently
  • Observing passively—this role requires active, energetic involvement

Key responsibilities

Facilitate engaging, virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain organized, motivated, and actively involved in each workshop session.

Candidate requirements

  • Available to work 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday, US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or leading youth groups
  • Educational background in US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - must have attended school in one of these countries (current location can be anywhere)
  • Excellent communication abilities and a student-centered, energizing presence with strong attention to detail
  • Prepared to begin by the end of July

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with online learning platforms or youth enrichment initiatives
  • Experience in after-school programs, summer camps, or student club leadership
