Campus Operations Coordinator   $110,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This position is full-time and in-person at our NYC campus.

Frustrated by cookie-cutter schools that limit student growth? Alpha is redesigning education for learners who advance beyond conventional classrooms. We need a results-oriented operator to create smooth, orderly, high-caliber systems that enable outstanding learning—day in and day out.

Alpha is not a typical private school. We merge demanding academics with practical competencies and a validated 2-Hour Learning methodology that accelerates student progress past standard grade expectations. In this position, you serve as the operational foundation of our campus: you control the rhythm of each day, safeguard time for concentrated study, and maintain precision in every detail so Guides can focus on mentorship without interruption. You will manage safety protocols, facilities oversight, and essential technology administration while cultivating a welcoming, high-performance culture for students and their families.

If you excel at structured workflows, rapid troubleshooting, and measurable outcomes, this role is for you. You will design a campus environment that feels purposeful, efficient, and motivating—where academic drive is recognized and self-reliance is developed. Join us to build a school where ambitious students advance faster, develop resilience, and lead with integrity.

What you will be doing

  • Managing all daily campus operations to ensure the 2-Hour Learning schedule runs on time and without disruption.
  • Handling front-line technology support (device configuration, rapid troubleshooting) and coordinating escalations with IT teams.
  • Establishing trust with students, families, and colleagues through clear communication and reliable execution.
  • Executing and auditing campus safety procedures; overseeing drills, incident documentation, and vendor relationships.
  • Facilitating critical activities—events, staff onboarding, supplies and facilities oversight—to maintain a consistently high standard across the campus.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing curriculum; Guides provide student mentorship while you ensure operational excellence.
  • Operating from a remote back office with limited exposure; your contributions directly enhance student results and family satisfaction.
  • Spending time on administrative tasks unrelated to accelerated learning; every responsibility connects to speed, safety, or quality standards.

Key responsibilities

Take full ownership of campus operations to ensure our site runs punctually, consistently, and at a standard that supports faster learning and superior family engagement.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 1+ years overseeing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or a comparable high-touch service setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain composed under pressure, exercise initiative, and manage competing priorities autonomously.
  • Proficiency with basic IT troubleshooting and Google Workspace administration.
  • Strong, professional written and spoken communication that fosters community confidence.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and available to work on-site in NYC, NY.
