Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Palo Alto campus.

Frustrated by standardized schools that limit student potential? Alpha is redefining education for learners who exceed the pace of conventional classrooms. We seek a motivated operator who creates frictionless, orderly, high-caliber systems that enable exceptional learning—day in and day out.

Alpha is not a typical private school. We integrate demanding academics with practical skills and our validated 2-Hour Learning framework that accelerates student progress beyond standard grade timelines. In this position, you serve as the operational core of our campus: you control the daily rhythm, safeguard focused learning time, and maintain precision in every detail so Guides can mentor without interruption. You will manage safety, facilities, and foundational technology administration while cultivating a supportive, high-expectation environment for students and families.

If you excel at designing clear workflows, solving problems quickly, and delivering measurable results, this role is for you. You will create a campus experience that feels purposeful, streamlined, and invigorating—where intellectual ambition is honored and self-reliance is developed. Join us to help build a school where motivated learners advance faster, develop more fully, and lead with integrity.

What you will be doing

  • Managing comprehensive daily campus operations to ensure the 2-Hour Learning schedule remains punctual and distraction-free.
  • Handling initial technology support (equipment configuration, rapid troubleshooting) and coordinating escalations with IT teams.
  • Cultivating confidence among students, families, and staff through precise communication and reliable execution.
  • Executing and reviewing campus safety procedures; overseeing drills, incident documentation, and vendor relationships.
  • Facilitating essential activities—events, staff integration, supply and facilities oversight—to maintain consistently high campus performance standards.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing curriculum; Guides provide student mentorship while you ensure operational excellence.
  • Operating from a secluded back office with limited visibility; your contributions directly enhance student results and family satisfaction.
  • Spending time on administrative tasks unrelated to accelerated learning; every responsibility connects to efficiency, safety, or standards.

Key responsibilities

Own the complete campus operation to ensure our campus functions punctually, consistently, and at a standard that supports faster learning and outstanding family experience.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 1+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or a comparable high-service setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain composed under pressure, exercise initiative, and balance competing priorities autonomously.
  • Proficiency with basic IT troubleshooting and Google Workspace administration.
  • Clear, professional written and spoken communication that strengthens community trust.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and available to work on-site in Palo Alto, CA.
