Description

Enrollment teams at most schools lose families between initial interest and final commitment. Alpha has eliminated that pattern. This role is designed to prevent it.

You are the individual families will recall when they decide whether or not to enroll in a new Alpha school. From application submission through deposit confirmation, you control the process. You help families navigate uncertainty, respond to the questions that genuinely matter, and understand precisely when to create urgency—and when to hold back. When enrollment performs well, the results are clear. When momentum slows, you identify it immediately and resolve it.

Alpha is a rapidly expanding K–12 private school network grounded in self-paced mastery, Guides (rather than conventional teachers), and adaptive technology. As we open new campuses, enrollment takes place before facilities are ready and before operations are established. That makes this position essential. You manage post-application admissions for schools that have not yet launched, lead high-trust admissions conversations, monitor readiness indicators, and ensure senior leaders concentrate on the actions that turn prospective families into enrolled students.

This is a high-visibility, people-intensive role. You will conduct calls every day. You will attend roadshows where enrollment decisions happen in the moment. If you prefer independent execution work or minimal human contact, this will not be the right fit. If you excel in high-pressure situations and appreciate being held accountable for results, this role will suit you.

What you will be doing

  • Leading 30–45 minute admissions conversations with applicant families prior to campus visits, building trust, clarifying the Alpha model, and evaluating enrollment readiness.
  • Guiding families through enrollment steps, including coordination of scheduling, follow-up communications, documentation management, and prompt escalation when momentum begins to decline.
  • Monitoring and documenting readiness signals across campuses and consolidating enrollment progress relative to targets.
  • Creating a focused, prioritized weekly action plan that informs senior leader priorities, travel schedules, and on-the-ground activities.
  • Participating in Shadow Days and roadshows as required (approximately 10% travel) to establish in-person relationships with families and strengthen enrollment confidence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Operating within a scripted call-center environment or conducting high-volume cold outreach.
  • Handling repetitive back-office administrative tasks or pure data entry functions.
  • Providing admissions support for campuses that are already operational.
  • Overseeing campus directors or managing school leader performance.
  • Working independently without direct responsibility for enrollment outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Deliver on-time, successful launches of new Alpha campuses by converting qualified applicant families into enrolled students and maintaining leadership focus on actions critical to conversion.

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year in a role requiring extensive writing (e.g., documentation, client communications, content creation), supported by 2–3 samples of original written work.
  • Experience modifying plans in real time in response to shifting conditions (e.g., operations, support, incident response).
  • Direct ownership of delivering a complete project or workstream, including responsibility for outcomes.
  • Proven initiative—beginning and advancing work independently without explicit instruction.
  • Located in the U.S. and able to travel approximately 10%.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in admissions, teaching, customer success, or similar family-facing roles.
  • Prior work in education or high-trust service settings.
