Every child should read at or above grade level—yet too many educational systems fail to deliver on this promise.

Alpha School demonstrates that literacy transformation doesn't demand traditional 6-hour classroom schedules. Our 2-Hour Learning framework combines AI-driven adaptive technology with specialist-led instruction to generate accelerated reading outcomes. You will design and facilitate targeted workshops producing quantifiable improvements in phonics mastery, reading fluency, and text comprehension for students in the early elementary grades.

This role focuses on data-informed teaching, technology partnership, and constructing a reading intervention model that scales to thousands of learners—not administrative busywork.

Dorado advantages: Stunning coastline within minutes. Dynamic bilingual environment and convenient access to San Juan's arts and culture, paired with a relaxed, small-community lifestyle.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating flexible reading workshops that build foundational phonics, comprehension, and fluency competencies
  • Creating individualized motivational sessions incorporating gamified literacy benchmarks
  • Examining student performance data to sharpen instructional approaches and generate practical insights
  • Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI-powered literacy platforms informed by classroom outcomes
  • Producing scalable, AI-integrated instructional materials that support early elementary learners in reaching grade-level reading standards

What you will NOT be doing

  • Standing at the front delivering lectures — students advance through self-directed AI applications, not passive listening
  • Adhering to ready-made curricula or scripted lessons — you build original workshop content independently
  • Instructing other academic disciplines — your emphasis is reading intervention and motivational support, not math or science instruction
  • Managing behavior as a primary task — each session targets specific learning goals with defined metrics
  • Operating independently — you work hand-in-hand with engineers who develop the AI systems your students engage with

Guarantee that every K-2 student in your assigned group achieves grade-level or higher reading proficiency via AI-enhanced workshops that deliver engaging, data-tracked phonics instruction
