Description

Families frequently disengage between showing interest and making a final enrollment commitment. Alpha eliminates that attrition. This position was created to prevent it.

You will be the individual families recall when choosing whether to join a newly launched Alpha campus. From application submission through deposit completion, you manage the process. You support families as they navigate doubt, respond to the questions that truly influence decisions, and recognize precisely when to increase urgency—and when to hold back. Success in enrollment is measurable. When progress slows, you identify it immediately and resolve it.

Alpha is an expanding K–12 private school network founded on self-directed mastery learning, Guides instead of conventional teachers, and technology-driven personalization. When we open new locations, enrollment begins before facilities are ready and before operational systems are in place. This makes your role essential. You manage post-application admissions coordination for campuses not yet operational, lead admissions conversations that build confidence, monitor enrollment signals, and ensure senior leadership remains focused on activities that convert interested families into committed students.

This position is high-profile and relationship-intensive. Daily phone calls are standard. You will attend roadshows where enrollment commitments happen on-site. If you prefer independent project work or minimal interpersonal engagement, this environment will not suit you. If you excel under pressure and welcome direct accountability for results, this role will be a strong match.

What you will be doing

  • Leading 30–45 minute admissions conversations with families who have applied, prior to their campus visits, to establish credibility, clarify the Alpha approach, and evaluate their readiness to enroll.
  • Guiding families through each enrollment stage, including visit scheduling, follow-up communication, document collection, and prompt escalation when progress slows.
  • Tracking and assigning enrollment readiness indicators across multiple campuses, and consolidating progress data relative to enrollment goals.
  • Creating a focused weekly action plan that informs senior leadership priorities, travel decisions, and campus-based activities.
  • Participating in Shadow Days and roadshow events as required (approximately 10% travel) to strengthen relationships with families and increase enrollment confidence in person.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Operating from a scripted call center model or conducting mass cold outreach.
  • Handling routine administrative tasks or data entry with no strategic component.
  • Supporting admissions operations for campuses already in operation.
  • Overseeing campus directors or evaluating school leadership performance.
  • Functioning independently without clear accountability tied to enrollment results.

Key responsibilities

Drive successful, on-schedule launches of new Alpha campuses by converting qualified applicants into enrolled students and ensuring leadership remains concentrated on actions that directly influence conversion.

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year in a role requiring significant writing (e.g., client correspondence, documentation, content development), supported by 2–3 samples of original written work.
  • Demonstrated ability to revise plans dynamically in response to shifting circumstances (e.g., operational support, incident management, live coordination).
  • Proven ownership of a complete project or workstream, including responsibility for final outcomes.
  • Clear evidence of self-starting behavior—initiating and advancing work independently.
  • U.S.-based and available for approximately 10% travel.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in admissions, teaching, customer success, or similar family-facing capacities.
  • Professional history in education or environments requiring high levels of trust and service.
