Description

Most enrollment processes leak families between initial interest and final commitment. Alpha eliminates that leakage. This position was created to prevent it.

You become the person families recall when making their enrollment decision for a new Alpha school. You control the momentum from application submission through deposit completion. Your role is to shepherd families through doubt, respond to the questions that genuinely influence decisions, and understand precisely when to advance the conversation—and when to pause. Success in enrollment is measurable. When progress slows, you identify it immediately and intervene.

Alpha is a rapidly expanding K–12 independent school network founded on self-directed mastery learning, Guides instead of conventional teachers, and intelligent technology. As new campuses launch, enrollment occurs ahead of building openings and established systems. This makes your role essential. You manage post-application admissions coordination for schools not yet operational, lead high-stakes admissions conversations, monitor family readiness indicators, and ensure senior leadership stays concentrated on the activities that turn applicants into committed students.

This position carries high visibility and intensive personal interaction. Daily calls are standard. You will attend roadshow events where enrollment choices happen in the moment. If your preference is independent execution or minimal interpersonal contact, this environment will not align. If you excel under pressure and welcome direct accountability for results, this role will suit you.

What you will be doing

  • Leading admissions conversations of 30–45 minutes with families who have applied, establishing credibility, clarifying the Alpha approach, and evaluating their readiness to enroll.
  • Guiding families through each enrollment checkpoint—scheduling, communication follow-through, required documents, and prompt intervention when forward motion weakens.
  • Monitoring and recording readiness indicators across multiple campuses, then consolidating enrollment status relative to goals.
  • Generating a focused weekly action plan that steers senior leadership attention, site visits, and field engagement.
  • Participating in Shadow Days and roadshow events as required (roughly 10% travel) to establish face-to-face relationships with families and strengthen enrollment commitment.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Executing scripted call-center procedures or conducting mass cold-calling campaigns.
  • Handling routine back-office tasks or performing isolated data entry functions.
  • Supporting admissions operations for campuses already in session.
  • Overseeing campus directors or evaluating school leadership effectiveness.
  • Operating independently without measurable responsibility for enrollment results.

Key responsibilities

Drive timely, successful new campus launches by converting qualified applicant families into enrolled students and maintaining leadership focus on the actions most critical to conversion.

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year in a role requiring significant writing (such as documentation, client correspondence, or content development), with 2–3 samples of your original written work available for review.
  • Proven ability to adapt plans dynamically in response to shifting circumstances (for example, in operations, support functions, or incident management).
  • Clear ownership of a complete project or workstream, including responsibility for final outcomes.
  • Evidence of self-direction—initiating and advancing work independently without waiting for instructions.
  • U.S.-based and able to travel approximately 10% of the time.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Prior work in admissions, teaching, customer success, or similar roles involving direct family engagement.
  • Experience in educational settings or service environments requiring high levels of trust.
