Admissions Coordinator   $100,000 USD/year

Description

As the Admissions Coordinator, you will serve as the primary contact for families as they evaluate where to begin their child's education. Each email you compose, event you schedule, and discussion you facilitate will influence whether a family selects Alpha. This position is built for individuals who prioritize accuracy, timely responses, and authentic engagement, and who recognize that credibility is earned through careful execution.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking educational frameworks. Our schools integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. The admissions function is where this vision becomes tangible. Families seek more than data—they want clarity, assurance, and proof that Alpha delivers differentiation that matters.

In this capacity, you will oversee the complete journey for prospective families starting from initial contact. You will deliver timely and considered replies, arrange campus visits and shadow experiences, keep applicant information current and precise, and help parents understand how Alpha functions and whether it matches their objectives. This is a prominent, relationship-centered role in which you directly affect enrollment outcomes.

This is a dynamic, campus-based position in San Francisco suited for someone capable of handling concurrent priorities with precision and attention. If you value transparent communication, dependable follow-through, and supporting families in making informed decisions, this role provides considerable autonomy and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to prospective family inquiries within 24 hours with clear, professional messaging consistent with Alpha's standards
  • Organizing and delivering admissions events, campus tours, and student shadow experiences, including logistics and post-event communication
  • Keeping applicant records thorough and accurate within CRM and admissions systems
  • Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's educational approach, respond to questions, and document key information
  • Working closely with campus staff and admissions team members to maintain a streamlined and effective admissions process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Rendering final admissions decisions or shaping enrollment policy
  • Delivering instruction or managing academic curriculum
  • Relying on aggressive sales methods or templated messaging
  • Working within an undefined or slow-paced setting

Key responsibilities

Create a smooth, high-conversion admissions journey that turns early interest into committed enrollment, ensuring families feel well-informed, valued, and enthusiastic about joining Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operational role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States
