Admissions Coordinator   $100,000 USD/year

Description

This role places you at the front line of the family experience, serving as the initial contact for parents and guardians determining where to invest in their child's education. The quality of your communication, the precision of your event planning, and the care you bring to each interaction will directly influence whether families choose Alpha. Success here depends on responsiveness, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to establish trust through consistent, thoughtful engagement.

Alpha is constructing a school model with global ambition. Our campuses integrate demanding academic standards, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. The admissions function is where this vision takes tangible form. Prospective families seek more than basic information—they need clarity, assurance, and compelling proof that Alpha represents a distinct and superior choice.

Your scope includes overseeing the complete prospective family journey, beginning with the first inquiry and extending through enrollment. You will deliver timely, personalized responses, arrange campus tours and shadow experiences, ensure data integrity across all applicant systems, and help parents assess whether Alpha's approach aligns with their educational priorities. This is a high-visibility, relationship-centered position where you hold direct influence over enrollment outcomes.

Expect a dynamic, on-campus environment in San Francisco that demands the ability to juggle competing priorities with precision and focus. If you excel at transparent communication, reliable execution, and empowering families to make confident, informed decisions, this role provides meaningful autonomy and measurable impact.

What you will be doing

  • Addressing inquiries from prospective families within a 24-hour window, using communication that is clear, professional, and consistent with Alpha's standards
  • Designing and managing admissions events, campus tours, and shadow day experiences—handling logistics, execution, and post-event outreach
  • Ensuring applicant records are comprehensive and accurate across CRM systems and admissions tools
  • Conducting meetings with families to describe Alpha's educational model, respond to their questions, and document key insights
  • Partnering with campus staff and admissions team members to maintain an efficient, well-coordinated admissions process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Rendering final admissions decisions or shaping enrollment policies
  • Delivering instruction or managing curriculum design
  • Employing aggressive sales methods or relying on scripted messaging
  • Working in an environment that is loosely organized or slow to respond

Key responsibilities

Create and sustain a polished, high-conversion admissions experience that moves prospective families from initial curiosity to committed enrollment, ensuring they feel well-informed, valued, and enthusiastic about joining the Alpha community.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
