Admissions Associate   $100,000 USD/year

Description

As an Admissions Associate, you will serve as the primary contact for families determining where to begin their child's education. Each email you compose, event you facilitate, and dialogue you conduct will influence whether a family selects Alpha. This position is built for individuals who prioritize accuracy, timeliness, and authentic interpersonal engagement, and who recognize that credibility is earned through careful execution.

Alpha is constructing one of the most forward-thinking educational models globally. Our sites integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Admissions is the stage where this vision becomes tangible. Families seek more than data—they seek transparency, assurance, and proof that Alpha distinguishes itself in substantive ways.

In this capacity, you will oversee the complete prospective family experience from initial outreach onward. You will reply with both speed and care, arrange campus visits and shadow experiences, keep applicant information current and precise, and help parents understand Alpha's approach and its fit with their priorities. This is a public-facing, relationship-centered role in which you directly affect enrollment outcomes.

This is an on-campus, high-tempo position in San Francisco for someone capable of balancing multiple streams of work with precision and attention. If you value transparent communication, dependable execution, and supporting families in making informed decisions, this role provides considerable autonomy and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to prospective family inquiries within 24 hours with communication that is clear, professional, and consistent with Alpha's standards
  • Organizing and delivering admissions events, campus tours, and student shadow visits from planning through post-event engagement
  • Ensuring applicant records remain comprehensive and accurate within CRM and admissions systems
  • Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's educational model, respond to concerns, and gather meaningful feedback
  • Partnering with campus staff and admissions team members to sustain an effective and streamlined admissions process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Rendering final admissions verdicts or shaping enrollment guidelines
  • Delivering instruction or managing academic programming
  • Employing aggressive sales methods or templated messaging
  • Functioning within a disorganized or sluggish operational setting

Key responsibilities

Provide a cohesive, high-yield admissions journey that converts early interest into committed enrollment, ensuring families feel well-informed, valued, and enthusiastic about becoming part of Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
