Admissions Associate   $100,000 USD/year

Description

As the first touchpoint for families exploring educational options for their child, you will influence enrollment decisions through every interaction, event, and message you deliver. This role requires someone who prioritizes precision, timely responses, and authentic relationship-building, understanding that family trust grows through deliberate and thoughtful action.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking school frameworks. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Admissions serves as the gateway where that framework becomes tangible. Families seek more than just details—they need clarity, assurance, and proof that Alpha differentiates itself in substantive ways.

In this capacity, you will oversee the complete journey for prospective families beginning with their initial outreach. You will deliver prompt and considered replies, coordinate campus tours and shadow experiences, ensure applicant information remains current and precise, and help parents understand Alpha's operations and alignment with their aspirations. This is a public-facing, connection-centered position where you directly shape enrollment outcomes.

This is an on-campus, high-tempo role based in San Francisco for someone capable of handling concurrent priorities with diligence and attention to detail. If you excel at transparent communication, reliable execution, and supporting families toward informed decisions, this position provides substantial autonomy and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Addressing prospective family inquiries within 24 hours with communication that is clear, professional, and consistent with Alpha's identity
  • Organizing and managing admissions events, campus visits, and shadow day experiences from planning stages through post-event engagement
  • Ensuring applicant records remain thorough and accurate across CRM systems and admissions tools
  • Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's educational approach, respond to concerns, and document key observations
  • Partnering with campus staff and admissions team members to maintain a cohesive and streamlined admissions process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Rendering final admissions verdicts or shaping enrollment policies
  • Delivering classroom instruction or managing academic content
  • Employing aggressive sales methods or formulaic messaging
  • Working within a loosely defined or sluggish operational setting

Key responsibilities

Create a polished, high-conversion admissions journey that converts early interest into committed enrollment, while ensuring families feel well-informed, valued, and enthusiastic about becoming part of Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
