Admissions Associate   $100,000 USD/year

Description

As an Admissions Associate, you will serve as the primary contact for families evaluating where to begin their child's education. Each email you compose, event you organize, and discussion you facilitate will influence whether a family selects Alpha. This position is built for individuals who prioritize accuracy, prompt communication, and authentic engagement, and who recognize that trust develops through careful, intentional action.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking educational models. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Admissions is the place where this vision becomes tangible. Families seek more than information—they seek understanding, assurance, and proof that Alpha delivers something distinct and valuable.

In this capacity, you will oversee the complete experience for prospective families beginning with their initial contact. You will reply quickly and with care, coordinate campus visits and student shadow opportunities, keep applicant information current and precise, and help parents understand how Alpha functions and whether it matches their aspirations. This is a prominent, people-centered role in which you directly affect enrollment outcomes.

This is an on-site, fast-moving position in San Francisco for someone capable of juggling several responsibilities with precision and attentiveness. If you value transparent communication, dependable follow-through, and supporting families in making thoughtful decisions, this role provides meaningful ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to prospective family inquiries within 24 hours with clear, professional communication aligned with Alpha's values
  • Organizing and delivering admissions events, campus tours, and shadow day experiences from planning through post-event follow-up
  • Keeping applicant records accurate and comprehensive across CRM systems and admissions platforms
  • Conducting meetings with families to present Alpha's educational model, respond to questions, and gather meaningful feedback
  • Working closely with campus teams and admissions colleagues to sustain an efficient and cohesive admissions process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Making final enrollment decisions or shaping admissions policy
  • Delivering instruction or managing academic curriculum
  • Relying on aggressive sales methods or scripted messaging
  • Working in a slow-paced or loosely organized setting

Key responsibilities

Create a smooth, high-quality admissions journey that converts early interest into committed enrollment while ensuring families feel well-informed, valued, and enthusiastic about becoming part of Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operational role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States
