Enrollment Coordinator   $100,000 USD/year

Description

This role places you at the center of family decision-making for one of the most ambitious educational models in the world. As the Enrollment Coordinator, you will serve as the primary contact for families exploring Alpha, and your communication, coordination, and attentiveness will directly influence whether they commit to our school. The position is built for individuals who prioritize accuracy, responsiveness, and meaningful interpersonal engagement, recognizing that trust forms through deliberate and careful execution.

Alpha is constructing a school model that integrates rigorous academics, technology-enhanced learning, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. Admissions represents the moment where this vision becomes tangible. Families seek more than data—they seek clarity, assurance, and proof that Alpha delivers something distinct and substantive.

In this capacity, you will oversee the complete prospective family journey from initial contact onward. Your responsibilities include timely and considered responses, coordination of campus tours and shadow visits, precise management of applicant information, and guiding parents through Alpha's operational model and alignment with their objectives. This is a relationship-centered, high-visibility role where your work directly impacts enrollment outcomes.

This position is based on-campus in San Francisco and operates at a rapid pace, requiring someone capable of balancing multiple responsibilities with precision and care. If you value clear communication, reliable execution, and empowering families to make informed decisions, this role provides meaningful ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to prospective family inquiries within 24 hours with communication that is clear, professional, and consistent with Alpha's standards
  • Organizing and executing admissions events, campus tours, and student shadow days, managing logistics and post-event follow-up
  • Ensuring applicant records remain complete and accurate within CRM and admissions systems
  • Conducting meetings with families to describe Alpha's educational approach, respond to their questions, and document relevant information
  • Partnering with campus and admissions teams to maintain a streamlined and effective admissions process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Rendering final admissions decisions or shaping enrollment policy
  • Delivering instruction or managing curriculum development
  • Employing aggressive sales techniques or templated messaging
  • Working in an environment that lacks structure or urgency

Key responsibilities

Create and deliver a seamless, high-conversion admissions journey that converts early interest into committed enrollment, ensuring families feel well-informed, respected, and enthusiastic about becoming part of Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
