Admissions Specialist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You will serve as the initial contact for families choosing where their child's education will begin. Each email you compose, event you schedule, and discussion you facilitate influences whether a family selects Alpha. This position suits someone who prioritizes accuracy, timely responses, and authentic interpersonal engagement, and who recognizes that confidence is earned through deliberate execution.

Alpha is constructing one of the most forward-thinking school frameworks globally. Our locations combine demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Admissions is where this vision becomes tangible. Families seek more than just details. They require transparency, assurance, and proof that Alpha distinguishes itself in substantive ways.

In this capacity, you will oversee the complete journey for prospective families from initial contact onward. You will reply quickly and with care, arrange campus visits and shadow experiences, keep applicant information current and accurate, and help parents understand how Alpha functions and whether it matches their objectives. This is a prominent, relationship-centered role where you directly affect enrollment outcomes.

This is a dynamic, campus-based position in San Francisco for someone capable of handling concurrent priorities with precision and attention. If you value transparent communication, reliable follow-through, and supporting families in making informed decisions, this role provides considerable ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Addressing inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours through clear, professional, and Alpha-consistent messaging
  • Organizing and managing admissions events, campus tours, and student shadow experiences from planning through follow-up communication
  • Ensuring complete and precise applicant documentation across CRM systems and admissions tools
  • Conducting meetings with families to present Alpha's framework, respond to questions, and gather pertinent information
  • Coordinating with campus and admissions team members to maintain a streamlined and effective admissions process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Making final enrollment decisions or establishing admissions policies
  • Delivering instruction or managing academic curriculum
  • Employing aggressive sales methods or templated messaging
  • Working in an undefined or slow-paced setting

Key responsibilities

Create a streamlined, high-conversion admissions journey that converts early interest into committed enrollment while ensuring families feel well-informed, valued, and enthusiastic about joining Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operational role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States
