Admissions Representative   $100,000 USD/year

Description

As an Admissions Representative, you will serve as the primary contact point for families evaluating where to begin their child's education. The messages you craft, the events you plan, and the discussions you facilitate will determine whether a family selects Alpha. This position suits someone who prioritizes accuracy, timely responses, and authentic human engagement, recognizing that trust develops through careful and deliberate action.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking educational models. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. The admissions function is where this vision becomes tangible. Families seek more than just details—they want clarity, assurance, and proof that Alpha distinguishes itself in substantive ways.

In this capacity, you will oversee the complete journey for prospective families beginning with their initial contact. You will deliver prompt and considerate responses, arrange campus visits and shadow experiences, keep applicant information current and accurate, and help parents understand Alpha's approach and whether it matches their objectives. This is a prominent, relationship-focused position where you have direct influence over enrollment outcomes.

This is an active, campus-based role located in San Francisco for a candidate who can handle competing demands with both precision and attention. If you value transparent communication, consistent follow-through, and supporting families in making educated decisions, this opportunity provides considerable autonomy and meaningful impact.

What you will be doing

  • Addressing inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours through clear, professional, and Alpha-consistent messaging
  • Organizing and delivering admissions events, campus visits, and student shadow opportunities from planning through post-event follow-up
  • Keeping comprehensive and accurate records of applicants in CRM and admissions systems
  • Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's educational model, respond to concerns, and gather pertinent information
  • Coordinating with campus staff and admissions team members to support a streamlined and effective admissions process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Rendering final admissions decisions or shaping enrollment guidelines
  • Instructing classes or managing academic content
  • Employing aggressive sales methods or templated messaging
  • Working within an unorganized or sluggish setting

Key responsibilities

Create a smooth, high-conversion admissions journey that converts early interest into assured enrollment, ensuring families feel well-informed, valued, and enthusiastic about becoming part of Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operational role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States
