Family Engagement Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

Alpha Waypoint is redefining the school experience. Using an outdoor, experiential approach, students develop real-world skills, resilience, and independence while achieving strong academic results.

This role positions you at the center of family engagement, shepherding prospective families from initial contact through enrollment. Every touchpoint you manage will embody clarity, professionalism, and responsiveness. You will oversee daily communication, support admissions activities, and keep records accurate to enable informed decision-making. Details and consistent follow-through define this position.

You will operate in both remote and on-site environments, introducing families to a model that diverges from conventional schooling. Your organizational discipline, clear communication, and ability to deliver a seamless experience will shape enrollment outcomes and strengthen family confidence.

If you excel at responsiveness, bring meticulous attention to detail, and take full ownership of results, this role provides a meaningful opportunity to support a mission-driven school in growth while sharpening your operational and communication capabilities.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, clear, and professional responses to prospective families
  • Shepherd families through admissions with reliable follow-up and clearly defined next steps
  • Facilitate and execute admissions activities, including information sessions, shadow day experiences, and community gatherings
  • Collaborate with campus teams to arrange student visits and deliver a seamless family experience
  • Keep admissions data current and accurate, monitoring all applications and follow-up activity

What you will NOT be doing

  • Working exclusively in administrative roles with no direct family contact
  • Navigating slow-moving or heavily bureaucratic systems
  • Prioritizing communication at the expense of execution and accountability
  • Shaping admissions strategy or making final decisions on enrollment

Key responsibilities

Deliver a clear, responsive, and well-coordinated admissions experience that drives enrollment and cultivates positive family relationships.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years in customer-facing or operations-oriented roles
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication ability
  • Strong attention to detail with experience using CRM systems or managing records
  • Proven organizational skills while handling multiple concurrent priorities
  • Comfortable working remotely while fulfilling in-person event obligations
  • Authorized to work in the US and available to participate in on-campus events

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions, education, or enrollment coordination
  • Experience delivering high-touch customer experiences or supporting events
  • Track record in dynamic, fast-moving environments
  • Understanding of outdoor, experiential, or alternative education models, with the ability to articulate their value effectively to families
