Family Engagement Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

Alpha Waypoint is redefining what school can be. Using an outdoor, experiential approach, students develop resilience, independence, and practical skills while achieving strong academic results.

This position will involve shepherding families from initial contact through the enrollment process, with every touchpoint demonstrating clarity, professionalism, and attentiveness. You will oversee daily communications, support admissions activities, and keep records current to enable well-informed decisions. This is a position where precision and reliable follow-through are essential.

Your work will span both remote and on-site environments, helping families navigate a school model that differs significantly from conventional classrooms. Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to deliver a seamless experience will have a direct effect on enrollment outcomes and family confidence.

If you are exceptionally responsive, meticulous, and committed to delivering results, this role provides an opportunity to support a mission-focused, growing school while strengthening operational and interpersonal competencies.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, clear, and professional responses to prospective families
  • Lead families through each stage of the admissions journey with reliable follow-up and clear next steps
  • Plan and execute admissions activities, including information sessions, shadow visits, and community gatherings
  • Collaborate with campus teams to arrange student visits and deliver a seamless experience
  • Keep admissions records current and accurate, tracking all inquiries and touchpoints

What you will NOT be doing

  • Operating in a purely administrative role with minimal family engagement
  • Working within a slow-moving or overly bureaucratic structure
  • Handling communication alone without accountability for execution and results
  • Developing admissions policy or making final enrollment determinations

Key responsibilities

Deliver a responsive, clear, and well-coordinated admissions experience that drives strong enrollment and builds lasting family confidence.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing or operations-focused experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and experience managing records or CRM systems
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities
  • Comfortable balancing remote work with in-person event responsibilities
  • Authorized to work in the US and able to attend in-person campus events

Nice to have

  • Experience in admissions, education, or enrollment operations
  • Background supporting events or high-touch customer experiences
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Appreciation for outdoor, experiential, or non-traditional learning models, with the ability to communicate that value naturally to families
