Family Engagement Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

Alpha Waypoint is redefining what school can be. Using an outdoor, experience-based approach, students develop independence, resilience, and practical capabilities while achieving strong academic results.

This role involves supporting families from initial contact through completed enrollment, with every touchpoint demonstrating clarity, responsiveness, and professionalism. You will oversee daily communication, facilitate admissions-related events, and keep precise records that enable informed decision-making. Here, attention to detail and consistent follow-through are essential.

Your work will span both remote and on-site contexts, helping families grasp a model that differs significantly from conventional schooling. Your capacity to communicate with precision, maintain organization, and deliver a seamless, high-quality experience will directly influence enrollment success and family confidence.

If you are highly responsive, meticulous, and accountable for results, this position provides a chance to support a growing, purpose-driven school while strengthening operational and communication expertise.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the admissions inbox, providing timely, clear, and professional responses to prospective families
  • Support families throughout the admissions journey with regular follow-up and clearly defined next steps
  • Facilitate and execute admissions events, including information sessions, shadow days, and community gatherings
  • Work with campus staff to arrange student visits and deliver a seamless experience
  • Keep admissions records accurate and current, tracking all applications and outreach activities

What you will NOT be doing

  • Working entirely behind the scenes with no direct family contact
  • Operating within a slow-moving or heavily bureaucratic system
  • Concentrating solely on communication without strong operational execution
  • Developing admissions strategy or making final enrollment determinations

Key responsibilities

Deliver a clear, responsive, and effectively executed admissions process that drives strong enrollment and positive family experiences.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing or operations-focused experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and experience managing records or CRM systems
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities
  • Comfortable balancing remote work with in-person event responsibilities
  • Authorized to work in the US and able to attend in-person campus events

Nice to have

  • Experience in admissions, education, or enrollment operations
  • Background supporting events or high-touch customer experiences
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Appreciation for outdoor, experiential, or non-traditional learning models, with the ability to communicate that value naturally to families
