Family Engagement Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

Alpha Waypoint is redefining the traditional school experience. With an outdoor, experiential approach, students develop resilience, independence, and practical skills while achieving strong academic results.

This position involves supporting families throughout their journey—from initial contact to completed enrollment—with communication that is clear, professional, and timely. You will oversee daily family correspondence, organize admissions activities, and keep detailed records that enable informed decision-making. Precision and accountability are central to this work.

Your role spans both remote coordination and on-site engagement, helping families navigate a model that differs significantly from conventional schooling. Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to deliver a seamless experience will directly influence enrollment success and family confidence.

If you excel at responsiveness, value attention to detail, and own your results, this position provides the chance to support a mission-focused, growing school while developing robust operational and interpersonal capabilities.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the admissions inbox, providing prompt, clear, and professional responses to prospective families
  • Shepherd families through each stage of the admissions process with structured follow-up and defined next steps
  • Facilitate and execute admissions programming, including information sessions, shadow days, and community gatherings
  • Work with campus teams to arrange student visits and ensure seamless coordination
  • Keep admissions records current and accurate, tracking all applications and ongoing communications

What you will NOT be doing

  • Working exclusively in administrative roles without direct family contact
  • Navigating slow-moving or heavily bureaucratic organizational structures
  • Emphasizing communication alone without demonstrating strong execution and accountability
  • Developing admissions strategy or rendering final enrollment determinations

Key responsibilities

Deliver a transparent, responsive, and effectively managed admissions process that strengthens enrollment outcomes and builds lasting family confidence.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing or operations-focused experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and experience managing records or CRM systems
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities
  • Comfortable balancing remote work with in-person event responsibilities
  • Authorized to work in the US and able to attend in-person campus events

Nice to have

  • Experience in admissions, education, or enrollment operations
  • Background supporting events or high-touch customer experiences
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Appreciation for outdoor, experiential, or non-traditional learning models, with the ability to communicate that value naturally to families
