Admissions Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

Alpha Waypoint is redefining the possibilities of education. Using an outdoor, experience-based approach, students develop independence, resilience, and practical skills while achieving strong academic results.

This position places you at the center of the enrollment journey—from initial family contact to final enrollment. You will ensure every touchpoint reflects professionalism, clarity, and responsiveness. Daily tasks include managing communications, organizing admissions activities, and keeping records that enable informed decision-making. Attention to detail and consistent follow-through define success in this role.

Your work will span both digital and on-site environments, introducing families to an educational model that diverges from conventional schooling. Clear communication, strong organizational habits, and the ability to deliver seamless experiences will directly influence enrollment results and family confidence.

If you are highly accountable, detail-focused, and driven by outcomes, this opportunity allows you to support a mission-driven, growing school while strengthening your operational and communication capabilities.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, clear, and professional responses to prospective families
  • Shepherd families through each stage of the admissions journey with consistent outreach and clearly defined next steps
  • Plan and execute admissions activities, including information sessions, student shadow experiences, and community gatherings
  • Collaborate with campus teams to arrange student visits and deliver a seamless family experience
  • Keep admissions records current and precise, tracking all applications and ongoing follow-up activities

What you will NOT be doing

  • Operating exclusively in administrative tasks with no direct family engagement
  • Working within a slow-moving or heavily bureaucratic structure
  • Prioritizing communication alone without accountability for execution and results
  • Developing admissions policy or making final acceptance determinations

Key responsibilities

Deliver a clear, responsive, and well-coordinated admissions experience that drives enrollment success and builds lasting family trust.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in customer-facing or operations-focused roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and proven experience with records management or CRM platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized across multiple concurrent priorities
  • Comfortable managing remote responsibilities alongside in-person event duties
  • Authorized to work in the US and available to attend campus events in person

Nice to have

  • Experience in admissions, education settings, or enrollment coordination
  • Background in event support or high-touch customer service
  • Experience thriving in fast-moving, dynamic environments
  • Familiarity with outdoor, experiential, or alternative education models, with the ability to articulate their value effectively to families
