Director of Member Services   $200,000 USD/year

Description

While most enrollment positions prioritize volume, this role is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is developing a school model of exceptional ambition. Our campuses integrate rigorous academic programs, technology-enabled learning, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Student learning outcomes consistently exceed national benchmarks, supported by measurable data. Afternoons are structured for deeper exploration, independent work, and the development of practical skills. The model is effective—but only when paired with the right families. This is your function.

You will be accountable for the complete admissions experience at a campus, spanning initial application to final enrollment. This is not a role where responsibility transfers. You will determine how families perceive us, how well they grasp the model, and whether enrollment choices are grounded in appropriate reasoning. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when warranted. The objective is not to maximize numbers. The objective is mutual alignment.

We welcome candidates with premium service expertise from fields outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership-based organizations, or entrepreneurial operators who have directly overseen sophisticated client experiences from beginning to end. What counts is your capacity to execute a high-touch, multi-phase process with discernment, precision, and consistent follow-through. If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where trust, confidentiality, and experience quality shape brand perception, this role will resonate. Apply now to contribute that caliber of work to something meaningful.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of the enrollment experience for prospective families, beginning with initial contact and continuing through onboarding completion.
  • Facilitating needs-based conversations to evaluate alignment before offering solutions or advising on next steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements at varying stages of the enrollment cycle, maintaining clear tracking of status and follow-up requirements.
  • Guiding campus tours, shadow visits, and decision-oriented discussions that transparently convey outcomes, expectations, and the target family profile for the model.
  • Ensuring precision in CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable accurate forecasting, prioritization, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Applying transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Accepting enrollment from families who do not align with the model solely to meet targets.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or operating within complex approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing family experience responsibilities across multiple staff members.
  • Working from a remote location. This position is on-campus by design.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a high-trust, selective enrollment process that secures the right families while safeguarding the integrity and academic performance of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand standing (education, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or independently managed service operations).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process spanning first interaction through onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20+ simultaneous client, guest, or family engagements at varied stages, supported by a structured tracking and prioritization approach.
  • Capacity to present specific examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you advised against your own offering when alignment was lacking.
  • Professional written communication proficiency with senior leadership, high-net-worth clients, or discerning stakeholders.
  • Readiness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Denver, CO; or Park City, UT.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requirement for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in selective private school admissions or enrollment for competitive programs.
  • Experience in high-end hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level administrative roles.
  • Track record developing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion quality, not merely velocity.
