Director of Membership   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions prioritize numbers. This one is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the most forward-thinking school models globally. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced learning, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. Students routinely exceed national learning benchmarks, with measurable results to prove it. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, autonomy, and practical skill development. The model is effective. But its success depends entirely on enrolling the right families. That's your responsibility.

You will control the entire admissions process for a campus, beginning with application and concluding with enrollment. This is not a role where responsibilities are divided among others. You determine how families perceive us, how thoroughly they comprehend the model, and whether enrollment choices are made with proper understanding. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed discussions, and advise against admission when appropriate. Maximum enrollment is not the objective. Alignment is.

We welcome applicants with backgrounds in premium service sectors outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive-level support, exclusive membership organizations, or entrepreneurs who have directly overseen high-stakes client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a detailed, multi-phase process with sound judgment, precision, and consistency. If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experience quality represent the brand, this position will be a natural extension. Apply now to apply that standard to meaningful work.

What you will be doing

  • Taking complete ownership of the enrollment process for prospective families, spanning initial inquiry to final onboarding.
  • Facilitating assessment-focused discussions to evaluate suitability before offering solutions or advising on subsequent actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family relationships across varying enrollment stages, maintaining comprehensive tracking and timely follow-through.
  • Guiding campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment decision meetings that transparently convey results, expectations, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable accurate forecasting, strategic prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methodologies.
  • Admitting families lacking alignment purely to satisfy enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or navigating complex hierarchical structures.
  • Distributing accountability for the family journey across multiple personnel.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a premium, selective enrollment process that successfully enrolls aligned families while safeguarding the standards and effectiveness of the Alpha educational model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing exceptional, tailored service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand perception (education, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership services, or owner-managed businesses).
  • Proven management of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment lifecycle from initial engagement through final onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently handling 20+ client, guest, or family interactions at various progression points, supported by a dependable tracking and prioritization framework.
  • Capacity to share specific examples of consultative judgment, including instances where you recommended against your offering when alignment was insufficient.
  • Professional written correspondence experience with C-level executives, affluent individuals, or discerning clientele.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Denver, CO; or Park City, UT.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions for selective independent schools or competitive enrollment programs.
  • Experience in premium hospitality, VIP client services, or senior executive support positions.
  • Track record developing or enhancing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment quality, not merely transaction velocity.
