Director of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

While most enrollment positions focus on maximizing volume, this role is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. We operate campuses that integrate rigorous academics with technology-enabled learning and maintain elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Our students consistently outpace national learning benchmarks—evidence confirmed by measurable data. Afternoons are reserved for deeper engagement, independent work, and practical skill development. The model is effective. However, its success depends on enrolling the right families. That responsibility falls to you.

You will manage the complete admissions process for a campus, beginning with the initial application and concluding with enrollment. This is not a role where responsibilities are passed between departments. You are accountable for the family experience, the clarity with which they grasp our model, and ensuring enrollment decisions are driven by the right motivations. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and recommend against enrollment when appropriate. Maximum enrollment is not the objective. Alignment is.

We welcome candidates with backgrounds in premium service sectors outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or entrepreneurial settings where you have personally overseen high-value client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a sophisticated, multi-phase process with sound judgment, transparency, and consistent follow-through. If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where trust, confidentiality, and experience quality are brand-defining, this role will resonate with you. Apply now to apply that standard to meaningful work.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial inquiry through final onboarding.
  • Facilitating assessment conversations to evaluate compatibility before proposing solutions or advising on next steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ active family engagements across various stages of enrollment, maintaining clear tracking of status and follow-up actions.
  • Conducting campus tours, shadow day experiences, and decision-oriented discussions that transparently convey results, expectations, and the families for whom the model is designed.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation in CRM and enrollment systems (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and sustained service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales approaches.
  • Accepting families who are not well-suited to the model merely to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or working within complex approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing responsibility for the family journey across multiple departments or roles.
  • Performing this work remotely. The role is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a high-integrity, selective enrollment process that successfully enrolls aligned families while safeguarding the standards and effectiveness of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand standing (education, high-end hospitality, executive support, exclusive membership, or owner-managed services).
  • Proven ownership of a full client, admissions, or enrollment lifecycle from initial engagement through onboarding completion.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at varying stages, supported by a structured system for tracking and prioritization.
  • Capacity to provide specific examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you advised against your own product or service due to poor fit.
  • Professional-level written communication experience with senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Denver, CO; or Park City, UT.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in admissions for selective private schools or enrollment for competitive programs.
  • Background in luxury hospitality, VIP services, or executive-level client support.
  • Experience designing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks.
  • Comfort leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion quality, not merely conversion speed.
