Director of Enrollment Management   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions focus on throughput. This position is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing a school model of extraordinary ambition. Our campuses combine rigorous academic programs, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for students and faculty. Students regularly outpace national learning benchmarks—validated by measurable results. Afternoons are reserved for deeper exploration, independent work, and practical skill development. The model is effective. But effectiveness depends on enrolling the right families. Your role begins there.

You will oversee the complete admissions experience for a campus, spanning initial application through final enrollment. This is not a handoff position. You are accountable for the family's perception of us, their understanding of our approach, and ensuring enrollment choices are grounded in genuine fit. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. Maximum volume is not the objective. Strategic alignment is.

We welcome applicants from premium client-facing backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private institutions, competitive programs, luxury service industries, executive client management, exclusive membership organizations, or entrepreneurs who have directly overseen high-value client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a detailed, multi-phase engagement with discernment, precision, and accountability. If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experience quality anchor the brand, this role will resonate. Apply today to apply that rigor to meaningful work.

What you will be doing

  • Overseeing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, beginning with initial outreach and concluding with onboarding.
  • Facilitating assessment-based discussions to evaluate compatibility before proposing options or advising on progression.
  • Stewarding 20+ concurrent family engagements across various enrollment phases, with transparent tracking of progress and follow-up requirements.
  • Directing campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment conversations that articulate outcomes, expectations, and intended audience with clarity.
  • Sustaining precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive enrollment approaches.
  • Admitting families who lack alignment merely to satisfy enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a large staff or operating within complex approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing responsibility for family experience across multiple team members.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires on-campus presence.

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver a high-integrity, selective enrollment process that secures well-matched families while safeguarding the credibility and academic performance of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing elevated, individualized service in contexts where client experience directly shapes organizational reputation (education, premium hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership services, or independently managed client operations).
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of a client, admissions, or enrollment process spanning initial engagement through final onboarding.
  • Track record managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family interactions at varied stages, supported by a structured tracking and prioritization approach.
  • Capacity to offer specific examples of consultative judgment, including instances where you recommended against your offering when alignment was absent.
  • Professional correspondence experience with C-suite stakeholders, affluent individuals, or discerning clientele.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Atlanta, GA; or Boston, MA.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment operations.
  • Experience in premium hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support functions.
  • History developing or optimizing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service delivery protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging CRM analytics and data to enhance fit quality, not merely enrollment velocity.
