Director of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions prioritize enrollment numbers. This position exists to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the most forward-thinking educational models globally. Our schools integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students routinely progress faster than national averages, supported by measurable outcomes. Afternoons are dedicated to deeper exploration, self-directed learning, and practical competency development. The model delivers results. But success depends entirely on selecting families who align with our approach. That is your mandate.

You will control the complete admissions process for a campus location, spanning initial application to final enrollment. This is not a coordination role. You own how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the educational philosophy, and whether their enrollment choice reflects genuine fit. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate substantive discussions, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. Maximum headcount is not the objective. Strategic alignment is.

We welcome applicants from elite service sectors outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive admissions programs, high-end hospitality, C-suite support, exclusive membership platforms, or entrepreneurs who have directly overseen premium client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capability to execute a detailed, phased engagement with discernment, precision, and accountability. If your professional background centers on exceptional service delivery where reputation depends on trust, confidentiality, and experience design, this opportunity will resonate. Apply now to apply that rigor to meaningful work.

What you will be doing

  • Directing the complete enrollment pathway for prospective families, beginning with initial outreach and concluding with onboarding.
  • Facilitating discovery conversations to evaluate compatibility before proposing the model or advising on next actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varied enrollment phases, maintaining transparent tracking and timely follow-up.
  • Orchestrating campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment discussions that transparently convey outcomes, commitments, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, pipeline management, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales approaches.
  • Accepting families who do not fit the model in order to meet enrollment targets.
  • Supervising a sizable team or operating within complex hierarchical structures.
  • Distributing responsibility for the family journey across multiple team members.
  • Performing duties remotely. This position is on-campus by necessity.

Key responsibilities

Own and deliver a high-integrity, selective enrollment process that secures aligned families while safeguarding the standards and effectiveness of the Alpha educational model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly shapes brand perception (education, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or independently operated client services).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment experience spanning initial inquiry to final onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently stewarding 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at varying stages, supported by a reliable system for monitoring and prioritization.
  • Capacity to supply specific examples of advisory decision-making, including instances where you recommended against your offering when alignment was absent.
  • Professional correspondence experience with C-level executives, affluent clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Chicago, IL, Nashville, TN, Tulsa, OK, or Southlake, TX.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive independent school admissions or selective program recruitment.
  • Background in premium hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support functions.
  • Experience designing or optimizing admissions workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment fit, not merely throughput.
