Director of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

While most enrollment positions prioritize volume, this one was designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. Our campuses integrate rigorous academic work, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely exceed national learning benchmarks, and outcomes data confirms this. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, autonomy, and practical skill development. The model delivers results. However, it requires the right family partnerships. That's your responsibility.

You will oversee the complete admissions process for a campus, spanning initial application to final enrollment. This is not a role defined by handoffs. You are accountable for how families engage with us, how well they comprehend the educational model, and whether enrollment choices reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not enrollment maximization. The objective is strategic fit.

We welcome candidates from premium service backgrounds outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, elite membership communities, or entrepreneurs who have directly managed high-value client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a detailed, phased process with discernment, precision, and accountability. If your professional experience centers on delivering white-glove service where trust, confidentiality, and experiential quality define reputation, this position will resonate. Apply now to elevate that standard in work with lasting impact.

What you will be doing

  • Overseeing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, beginning with initial outreach and concluding with onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-based conversations to evaluate alignment before introducing options or advising on next actions.
  • Tracking 20+ concurrent family engagements across varying enrollment phases, maintaining clear records of progress and follow-up requirements.
  • Delivering campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment discussions that transparently convey outcomes, standards, and the model's intended audience.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, task prioritization, and sustained service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Accepting families who lack alignment in order to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or operating within complex hierarchical structures.
  • Distributing responsibility for the family experience across multiple staff members.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires campus presence.

Key responsibilities

Direct and deliver a high-trust, selective enrollment process that secures the right family partnerships while safeguarding the integrity and academic performance of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand perception (education, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership, or independently operated service businesses).
  • Proven accountability for a full-cycle client, admissions, or enrollment process spanning initial inquiry through final onboarding.
  • Track record managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family engagements at varied stages, supported by an organized tracking and prioritization approach.
  • Capacity to share specific examples of advisory decision-making, including instances where you counseled against your offering when alignment was absent.
  • Professional correspondence experience with C-level executives, affluent clients, or discerning stakeholders.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Atlanta, GA; or Boston, MA.
  • Work authorization in the United States without need for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in competitive independent school admissions or selective program enrollment.
  • Experience in luxury hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level administrative support.
  • Track record developing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM tools to enhance conversion alignment, not simply velocity.
