School Administrative Coordinator   $110,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position at our New York City campus.

If cookie-cutter schools that limit student growth frustrate you, Alpha offers something different. We're redefining education for learners who exceed conventional classroom pacing. We need a results-oriented operator who creates smooth, composed, high-standard environments so outstanding education can unfold—day after day.

Alpha is not a typical private institution. We merge demanding academics with practical skills and our validated 2-Hour Learning approach that accelerates mastery and extends beyond standard grade trajectories. In this position, you serve as the operational engine of our campus: you control daily flow, safeguard focused learning time, and maintain precision across details so Guides can mentor without interruption. You'll manage safety, facility oversight, and foundational tech administration while cultivating a welcoming, high-expectation environment for students and their families.

If you excel at structured processes, rapid troubleshooting, and tangible results, this opportunity fits. You'll craft a campus experience that feels deliberate, efficient, and inspiring—where academic drive is honored and self-reliance is developed. Join us to help design a school where motivated learners advance quickly, develop resilience, and lead with integrity.

What you will be doing

  • Managing full-spectrum daily campus operations to maintain the 2-Hour Learning schedule on target and free from disruptions.
  • Handling front-line technology support (device configuration, immediate troubleshooting) and coordinating escalations with IT teams.
  • Establishing trust with students, families, and colleagues through precise communication and reliable execution.
  • Executing and monitoring campus safety protocols; overseeing drills, incident documentation, and vendor relationships.
  • Enabling key functions—events, staff onboarding, supplies and facilities oversight—to ensure the campus consistently operates at an elevated standard.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering instruction or designing curriculum; Guides handle student mentorship while you ensure operational strength.
  • Operating remotely with limited exposure; your contributions directly enhance student progress and family satisfaction.
  • Spending time on low-value tasks disconnected from accelerated learning; every action you take connects to speed, safety, or excellence.

Key responsibilities

Lead comprehensive campus operations to ensure our site functions on schedule, to standard, and at a level that supports faster learning and outstanding family experience.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 1+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or a comparable high-service setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain composed during crises, show initiative, and handle competing priorities autonomously.
  • Comfort with basic IT troubleshooting and Google Workspace administration.
  • Clear, professional written and spoken communication that fosters community confidence.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and available to work on-site in NYC, NY.
