School Operations Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Austin campus.

If you encounter disorder and immediately begin mapping out solutions, this role will suit you. Alpha serves students who advance quickly, seek intellectual challenge, and are ready for genuine responsibility. We combine demanding academics with practical life skills and a focused 2-Hour Learning framework that enables students to progress with speed and confidence. We're looking for someone who can transform a dynamic school day into a seamless, high-functioning system—every transition, every handoff, every element precisely managed.

At our Austin location, you'll be the operational backbone that maintains momentum: protecting focused learning time, ensuring safe and orderly campus operations, and removing barriers so Guides can mentor without distraction. You'll manage facility workflows, front-line technology support, and family communications, building an environment where ambition is standard and self-reliance is cultivated. If you value clear expectations, decisive action, and measurable results, this work will resonate with you.

Apply to build a campus where students accelerate their learning, families experience the impact, and operational precision is the foundation of everything we achieve.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the daily schedule with accuracy so the 2-Hour Learning sessions begin punctually, remain undisturbed, and conclude effectively.
  • Providing front-line technology support (device configuration, basic diagnostics) and managing escalations to IT.
  • Ensuring a secure, well-ordered campus: emergency drills, incident documentation, vendor management, and facility preparedness.
  • Communicating effectively with students, families, and colleagues; resolving issues promptly and recording outcomes.
  • Facilitating campus events—orientation, milestone activities, inventory and space coordination—so the site consistently operates at readiness.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or designing curriculum; Guides handle student mentorship while you manage operational systems.
  • Working remotely from an office; your role is campus-facing and directly connected to student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Engaging in low-impact tasks that don't enhance speed, safety, or learning quality.

Key responsibilities

Maintain a campus environment that is consistently safe, prepared, and conducive to learning so that students and staff can concentrate on education and development rather than operational concerns.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or another high-touch service environment.
  • Composed under pressure; proactive troubleshooter capable of balancing competing demands without sacrificing precision.
  • Proficient with basic IT support and Google Workspace administration.
  • Clear, professional written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; able to work on-site in Austin, TX (no visa sponsorship available).
