Description

You've delivered systems that perform under pressure: multi-billion-dollar initiatives, mission-critical expansions, and multi-location transformations where missed deadlines were not an option. Now you're ready to take full ownership of a nationwide execution mandate.

2 Hour Learning is expanding a validated K–12 model throughout the United States. Within the next six months, we will open 25–30 campuses, each demanding new construction, significant facility improvements, and airtight operational infrastructure. We are recruiting a senior operator to command this entire vertical: delivering, upgrading, and maintaining the physical environments that enable our schools to fulfill their mission. Without operational facilities, nothing moves forward.

This is not a strategic advisory role. It is an execution-driven mandate supported by capital, timeline pressure, and decision-making authority. You will manage an SVP and a complete team of VPs, analysts, and external partners. You will control budget allocation and hiring. And you will be accountable for activating new campuses, modernizing current facilities, implementing enterprise-wide standards, and creating AI-powered frameworks that enable future rollouts to be faster, more cost-effective, and more efficient.

2 Hour Learning operates Alpha, NextGen Academy, GT School, Texas Sports Academy, and other institutions — a rapidly expanding network of schools grounded in one validated principle: students can complete a full year of academic progress in just two concentrated hours daily. The remainder of the day is available for athletics, creative pursuits, exploration, or personal development. We are private equity-backed, fully capitalized, and expanding nationally.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of the national facilities function: executing new construction, significant upgrades, and durable operational systems across 25–30 campus locations
  • Building and managing a team (SVP + VPs + support staff), with complete P&L responsibility for the facilities vertical
  • Creating and enforcing enterprise-wide standards for procurement, security, furnishings, network infrastructure, and branding
  • Designing and deploying AI-powered playbooks and service-level agreements that eliminate bottlenecks and speed up every expansion phase
  • Reporting directly to the founder and collaborating with legal, finance, and compliance leadership to meet non-negotiable launch timelines

What you will NOT be doing

  • Advising from a distance — you will be the decision-maker
  • Overseeing isolated, single-location projects — your mandate is national and systemic
  • Maintaining legacy workflows — you will architect and deploy new, AI-enabled playbooks
  • Waiting for top-down guidance — this role leads the expansion, it does not respond to it

Key responsibilities

Deliver, upgrade, and maintain facilities nationwide — ensuring every campus is student-ready, delivered on schedule, and supported by scalable, AI-powered infrastructure.

Candidate requirements

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-location execution initiatives with strict deadlines and tangible consequences
  • Direct ownership of new construction projects, large-scale facility upgrades, and operational systems at national or global scope
  • Practical experience with retail buildouts and/or enterprise-scale maintenance operations, where launch preparedness and standardization were business-critical
  • Proven capability to recruit and lead high-performing teams, with full budget and P&L accountability
  • Strong structured problem-solving, stakeholder coordination, and communication abilities
  • Ability to operate with speed, independence, and accountability in high-growth or PE-backed settings
  • U.S. work authorization and availability to travel approximately 25%

  • Background in education, retail, or healthcare expansion where facilities were a critical success factor
  • History of designing and deploying AI-powered operational systems
