Description

Trust is the foundation of every campus. This position ensures that foundation is built, maintained, and replicated across every location.

You will own campus operations at the national level—not conceptually, but operationally. You'll manage, develop, and hold accountable a distributed network of more than 30 Campus Coordinators and Lead Campus Coordinators who function as the operational core and welcoming presence at each site. When execution falters, standards slip, or risk emerges at a campus, it becomes your responsibility.

This position was created because strong performance at a single location is insufficient. Families depend on uniform levels of safety, care, professionalism, and responsiveness at every campus. You'll create the frameworks, procedures, and leadership infrastructure to deliver that consistency. You'll surface weaknesses, eliminate confusion, and establish operational standards without removing autonomy or humanity from local teams.

If you've observed a geographically dispersed organization and recognized, "This functions adequately… but could be significantly more uniform, scalable, and rigorous," this role is designed for you.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the Campus Coordinator function across the organization, encompassing recruitment, onboarding, development, performance oversight, and termination decisions as necessary
  • Define and implement operational standards for all campus-level activities, spanning safety protocols, regulatory compliance, family engagement, and front-line service delivery
  • Collaborate with Campus Coordinators and Lead CCs to surface systemic weaknesses, patterns of failure, and inconsistent execution, then resolve them through policy and process improvements
  • Develop comprehensive playbooks, standard operating procedures, and instructional content that convert strategic expectations into operational behaviors
  • Define performance benchmarks, accountability rhythms, and issue escalation protocols to ensure rapid and consistent problem resolution
  • Conduct regular operational reviews at campus sites to verify that standards are understood, applied, and delivering measurable improvements for families and personnel

What you will NOT be doing

  • Overseeing daily operations at an individual campus location
  • Concentrating primarily on facility improvements or construction management
  • Drafting policy documents that remain theoretical rather than embedded in actual practice
  • Functioning as a hands-off HR liaison rather than a direct manager of people
  • Tolerating site-specific deviations under the rationale of "local preference"

Key responsibilities

Guarantee consistent, high-caliber execution across all campus locations by directing the Campus Coordinator organization, establishing operational policy, and enforcing accountability to explicit standards.

Candidate requirements

  • 7+ years leading operations, managing people, or working in multi-location organizations where uniformity and follow-through are critical
  • Demonstrated track record recruiting, developing, and managing performance for front-line operational leaders across multiple sites
  • Sound decision-making ability in areas including safety protocols, regulatory adherence, customer service quality, and organizational risk
  • Proven capacity to diagnose systemic gaps and convert unclear expectations into actionable, practical standards
  • Willingness to provide candid feedback and make difficult personnel decisions when results do not meet expectations
  • Availability to travel up to 50% to campuses throughout the United States
  • U.S.-based and legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Prior work in education, hospitality, healthcare, or similar fields where trust and direct service are essential
  • History of designing enterprise-wide training programs, operational guides, or standardized procedures for geographically distributed organizations
  • Experience transitioning from individual contributor or player-coach to manager of managers
