Description

Trust is the foundation of every campus. This position ensures that trust is consistently established, safeguarded, and maintained across all locations.

You will serve as the national lead for campus operations—not just on paper, but in day-to-day execution. You'll manage, develop, and hold accountable a distributed network of more than 30 Campus Coordinators and Lead Campus Coordinators who function as the operational core and first point of contact at each school. When operational failures, inconsistencies, or site-level risks arise, they become your responsibility.

This position was created because operational excellence at a single site is insufficient. Families rightly expect uniform standards of safety, hospitality, professionalism, and responsiveness across all campuses. You will design the policies, playbooks, and management infrastructure to deliver on that expectation. You'll uncover weaknesses, eliminate ambiguity, and create standardized operating procedures that preserve both accountability and human judgment.

If you've ever observed a geographically distributed team and recognized that "this functions adequately, but could be significantly more consistent, scalable, and professional," this role is designed for you.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the Campus Coordinator function at the national level, including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluation, and terminations as necessary
  • Design and standardize all site-level operational policies, spanning safety and compliance to family engagement and front-of-house delivery
  • Collaborate with Campus Coordinators and Lead CCs to surface policy deficiencies, recurring challenges, and implementation inconsistencies, then resolve them systematically
  • Develop comprehensive playbooks, standard operating procedures, and training resources that convert organizational expectations into consistent campus behavior
  • Define performance benchmarks, review cycles, and escalation protocols to ensure rapid and uniform issue resolution
  • Conduct regular operational audits of campuses to confirm that policies are comprehended, implemented, and enhancing outcomes for families and staff

What you will NOT be doing

  • Operating a single campus on a daily basis
  • Managing facilities improvements or construction initiatives as your primary responsibility
  • Creating policies that exist only in documentation without influencing actual practice
  • Functioning as a passive HR liaison rather than a hands-on people leader
  • Tolerating "this campus has always done it this way" as justification for deviation

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that every campus delivers consistent, high-quality execution by directing the Campus Coordinator function, defining operational policy, and enforcing clear performance standards across all teams.

Candidate requirements

  • 7+ years in operations leadership, people management, or multi-site environments where consistency and execution matter
  • Proven experience hiring, coaching, and performance-managing front-line operational leaders at scale
  • Strong judgment around safety, compliance, customer experience, and risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to identify policy gaps and turn ambiguity into clear, usable standards
  • Comfortable delivering direct feedback and making hard calls when performance falls short
  • Ability to travel up to 50% across U.S. campuses
  • Based in the U.S. and authorized to work without sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Experience in education, hospitality, healthcare, or other high-trust, people-facing environments
  • Background building centralized training, playbooks, or operational standards for distributed teams
  • Experience managing managers (player-coach to leader-of-leaders transition)
