The results validate the model: students ranking in the top 1-2% nationally, progressing at double the standard rate. But none of this happens without a ready campus. Your responsibility: deliver fully operational school sites, on time and within budget, across an expanding network of micro schools, growth campuses, and flagship vertical campuses in major metropolitan areas.
Timelines are always tight. Convert from building handoff to first day of school in weeks, not months. This requires sequencing vendor activities, monitoring dependencies daily, and leveraging AI to anticipate every outstanding task before it causes a delay. After a campus launches, you hand the site to the ongoing operations team and advance to the next buildout.

What you will be doing
- Overseeing the complete buildout for each assigned campus: managing FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) procurement and installation, interior construction, IT infrastructure, signage, and playspace from building handoff to opening day
- Executing a compressed delivery timeline against a fixed opening date: sequencing vendor workflows, tracking project dependencies, and accelerating progress wherever the schedule demands
- Managing and accepting vendor deliverables: issuing scopes of work, overseeing on-site execution, inspecting against specifications, and formally rejecting work that fails to meet standards
- Deploying AI tools to draft vendor scopes, create punch lists, monitor open items, and produce handoff documentation — this role requires speed that manual processes cannot sustain
- Implementing standardized site deployment playbooks, confirming readiness upon completion, documenting structured field feedback, and coordinating the handoff to the ongoing operations team
What you will NOT be doing
- Operating steady-state facility management after a campus opens: you transfer ownership to the permanent ops team and proceed to the next project
- Executing hands-on trades or installation labor: your role is to direct, inspect, and accept — not to perform physical installation or technical work
- Handling real estate acquisition, permitting, or certificate of occupancy processes: when the building is handed to you, those steps are already complete
- Managing a single project at a leisurely pace: micro-campus buildouts proceed rapidly, and the next one is always queued
- Navigating unclear ownership or shared accountability: every buildout has one person accountable from handoff to opening day

Candidate requirements
- At least 2 years in operations, facilities, or project delivery
- Experience diagnosing and resolving a broken process, with a measurable outcome to demonstrate it: cost reduced, time shortened, or quality enhanced
- Experience owning a multi-phase project from start to finish, from kickoff through documented completion
- Proven vendor management capabilities: enforce quality standards with contractors and challenge substandard work
- Experience managing 2 or more concurrent projects or sites without critical items being overlooked
- Routine use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) to increase efficiency and maintain organization
- Located in the US and authorized to work without visa sponsorship
- Willing to travel 60–80% of the time (3–4 days/week)
Nice to have
- Prior involvement in a physical buildout or site activation across any industry: retail, restaurants, healthcare, offices, or comparable settings
- Experience in construction project management, tenant improvement, commercial fit-out, or facilities management
- Hands-on familiarity with FF&E, IT setup, signage, or commercial interior work, even in a support or coordinator capacity
- Experience using a project tracking tool (Wrike, Notion, Procore, Asana, Monday.com, or similar) to organize tasks or manage timelines
