Operations Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Austin campus.

If you instinctively see order in chaos and map out systems to bring it to life, this role will resonate with you. Alpha is built for students who accelerate quickly, seek meaningful challenges, and thrive on real accountability. We combine demanding academics with practical life competencies and a focused 2-Hour Learning framework that enables rapid, confident progress. We're looking for an operator who can transform a dynamic school environment into a seamless, high-functioning system—where every transition, every interaction, and every operational detail is intentional.

At our Austin location, you'll serve as the operational backbone: protecting time for uninterrupted learning, ensuring safe and well-coordinated daily operations, and removing friction so Guides can focus entirely on mentorship. You'll manage facility logistics, provide frontline technology support, and handle community-facing communications, building a culture where high expectations are the norm and self-reliance is cultivated. If you value clear standards, decisive action, and measurable impact, this work is designed for you.

Apply to help build a campus where students advance faster, families experience the distinction, and operational discipline quietly powers everything.

What you will be doing

  • Executing the daily schedule with accuracy to ensure 2-Hour Learning sessions begin promptly, remain distraction-free, and conclude effectively.
  • Managing frontline technology support (equipment setup, basic diagnostics) and routing escalations to IT as needed.
  • Overseeing a secure, well-ordered campus: emergency drills, incident documentation, vendor coordination, and facility preparedness.
  • Providing clear communication to students, families, and team members; resolving issues promptly and recording key decisions.
  • Facilitating campus events and operations—onboarding, inventory, space planning—to maintain a consistently prepared environment.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing coursework; Guides own student mentorship while you manage operational systems.
  • Working remotely or behind the scenes; your role is campus-facing and directly impacts student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Engaging in low-value tasks that don't enhance speed, safety, or the caliber of the learning experience.

Key responsibilities

Maintain a campus environment that is consistently safe, organized, and conducive to focus, enabling students and staff to dedicate their energy to learning and development rather than operational concerns.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any discipline)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or a comparable high-touch service setting.
  • Composed under pressure; takes initiative to solve problems and balances competing demands without sacrificing precision.
  • Proficient with basic IT support tasks and Google Workspace tools.
  • Strong, professional written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; able to work on-site in Austin, TX (visa sponsorship is not available).
