Outdoor Operations Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position at our Austin campus.

If you spot disorder and immediately map a solution, this role will suit you. Alpha serves students who advance rapidly, seek difficulty, and expect meaningful responsibility. We combine demanding academics with practical life training and a focused 2-Hour Learning framework so children progress swiftly and with certainty. We are looking for an operator who can transform a dynamic school day into a reliable, high-functioning system—every transition, every handoff, every element executed precisely.

At our Austin location, you will be the driver that keeps operations running: protecting time for concentrated learning, maintaining safe and efficient daily routines, and removing barriers so Guides can coach at full strength. You will manage facility workflows, frontline technology support, and family communication, building an environment where ambition is the standard and autonomy is cultivated. If you value clear expectations, swift action, and measurable results, this work will engage you.

Apply to build a campus where students accelerate learning, families experience the impact, and operational discipline is the foundation of everything.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the daily timetable with accuracy so the 2-Hour Learning sessions begin promptly, remain undisturbed, and conclude effectively.
  • Addressing initial technology requests (equipment configuration, basic diagnostics) and managing handoffs to IT when needed.
  • Ensuring a secure, well-organized campus: emergency drills, incident documentation, vendor coordination, and facility preparedness.
  • Communicating effectively with students, families, and colleagues; resolving issues promptly and recording outcomes.
  • Enabling campus activities—events, new-staff integration, inventory and space planning—so the site consistently operates at readiness.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing curriculum; Guides own student mentorship while you manage the infrastructure.
  • Working from a remote office; your role is campus-facing and directly linked to student outcomes and family confidence.
  • Investing time in low-impact tasks that do not enhance pace, security, or learning quality.

Key responsibilities

Guarantee the campus setting is consistently secure, prepared, and conducive so that students and staff can concentrate on learning and development, not operational details.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 2+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or another high-service sector.
  • Steady under pressure; self-starting problem-solver capable of balancing multiple demands without sacrificing precision.
  • Competent with basic IT troubleshooting and Google Workspace administration.
  • Professional, courteous written and spoken communication that builds trust.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; able to work on-site in Austin, TX (no visa sponsorship).
