Compliance Operations Specialist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

If you're the person who can communicate effortlessly with anyone, from the front office gatekeeper to the movers and shakers, this is your moment. You're savvy, approachable, and practical. Even if compliance isn't your background, you've successfully navigated bureaucratic hurdles and gained trust along the way.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're revolutionizing education by achieving more in two hours than traditional schools do in a full day. Our AI-driven approach personalizes learning, eliminating unnecessary tasks and making school enjoyable again. Once students finish early, they dive into developing life skills and pursuing their passions, reclaiming their time.

This mission depends on our campuses opening legally, cleanly, and punctually. That's where you step in.

You'll be the one making the important calls, handling paperwork, and securing approvals to open school doors. Researching state and local requirements, coordinating submissions, and building trusted relationships with clerks and inspectors will be your forte. You'll ensure students have a place to learn from day one.

Collaborate directly with operational leaders and receive mentorship from seasoned team members. If you're quick to learn, meticulous about details, and thrive on visible progress, we'll provide the training you need. You'll leverage AI tools daily to find answers, write clearly, and stay ahead.

If you're ready to take charge, drive real-world progress, and help open schools faster than ever imagined, we'd love to connect with you.

What you will be doing

  • Investigate local licensing, permitting, and inspection requirements using AI tools and official sources, transforming them into clear action plans.
  • Foster trust with city and state agencies through calls, emails, and in-person visits to resolve and approve processes.
  • Prepare and submit precise filings, such as licenses and exemptions, ensuring everything is tracked until approval.
  • Maintain up-to-date dashboards and records for leadership's real-time insights.
  • Embrace rapid learning, especially in your first 90 days, with hands-on support and regular coaching.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Speculating about regulations. You'll be trained to confirm facts and address uncertainties.
  • Waiting for instructions. This role demands proactive initiative from the start.
  • Producing generic content. We use AI for clarity, not filler.
  • Getting bogged down in abstract policy work. You'll tackle real-world problems in actual jurisdictions.
  • Constantly traveling. Expect travel two to three weeks per month, with expenses covered.

Key responsibilities

Ensure compliant and timely campus launches by merging AI-enabled research with hands-on coordination and persuasive relationship-building.

Candidate requirements

  • Willingness to travel 50–75% of the time across U.S. cities and states.
  • Proficiency with AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude for research, writing, or problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with confidence and warmth on the phone.
  • High follow-through. You treat deadlines and deliverables as personal commitments.
  • Attention to detail. No missing attachments, incorrect forms, or sloppy submissions.
  • Quick learner, especially in unfamiliar systems or ambiguous situations.
  • Adept at managing multiple timelines and conversations simultaneously.
  • Reliable access to a computer and internet connection.

Nice to have

  • Experience in customer-facing, compliance-adjacent, or operations-intensive roles.
  • Background in public policy, communications, business, or legal studies.
  • Previous experience resolving complex logistical challenges in jobs, internships, or volunteer roles.
