Description

Are you a commercially-minded product leader with deep cloud expertise? Do you want to stretch your skills across industries and business models in a challenging, fast-paced role for a legendary acquirer of legacy software companies?

IgniteTech is hiring a leader for its commercial product management team. This role reports to the CEO and will drive our strategic product vision and roadmap and help to convince our 500+ enterprise software customers about the benefits of moving to the public cloud.

IgniteTech continues to expand its wide portfolio of software solutions through acquisitions with a vision to drive innovation and redevelop these solutions as native cloud applications. In this role, you will get to put your AWS expertise to use in a big way across 100+ enterprise software products.

There are so many legacy, on-prem software applications that are mission-critical for companies. This is a rare opportunity to help those companies’ legacy applications survive and thrive as new, cloud-native software that’s ready for the future. We need your expertise, especially if you have a technical background and a product leadership background in the cloud and in enterprise software.

What you will be doing

  • Customer engagement: understanding customers’ needs and ambitions
  • Writing product visions: replacing broken commitments with killer 5-year goals, so that customers fully embrace the value we bring to their business
  • Making process decisions: identifying the important outcomes, evaluating alternatives, and looking for the simplest pattern for a given problem

What you will NOT be doing

  • Working from pre-acquisition roadmaps and commitments without critically reassessing those plans
  • Project plans and feature/bug commitment tracking
  • Making technical decisions

Key responsibilities

  • Convince customers that radical, worthwhile product change is coming in the form of on-premises legacy products moving to the cloud
  • Build and communicate a singular 5-year vision for each acquired product that excites customers and moves them away from expecting heavily customized or custom product installations
  • Ensure on-time product development by working with engineering and operations teams

Candidate requirements

  • A university degree; coursework should include the study of data structures, algorithms, and computing fundamentals.
  • At least 5 years of experience migrating software solutions to AWS public cloud; prior implementations and a deep understanding of public cloud
  • At least 5 years working in the enterprise software industry in senior product and technology roles
  • Experience creating product vision and roadmaps and executing on required software developments
