Long-term role

Campus Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This in-person role is located on our Austin, TX campus.

A great campus feels calm, organized, and welcoming—because someone is making hundreds of decisions behind the scenes to keep it that way.

Nova Academy exists to serve students and families who expect more from their school experience. That expectation extends beyond academics. It shows up in how families are communicated with, how safe students feel, how smoothly the day runs, and how quickly problems are resolved. This role exists to make sure all of that works, every day.

In this role, you are responsible for the full non-academic operation of the campus. You build trust with families through clear, timely communication. You safeguard student well-being by owning safety procedures and incident response. You manage facilities, logistics, and daily operations so staff can stay focused on students. You also ensure technology supports learning rather than interrupting it.

This is a hands-on, people-facing role for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and service. If you are energized by solving problems, supporting a community, and creating an environment where students and staff can thrive, this role offers meaningful ownership and impact.

What you will be doing

  • Building strong relationships with parents, students, and staff through proactive, bilingual communication
  • Managing campus safety operations, including access procedures, health incidents, drills, documentation, and parent updates
  • Overseeing daily campus operations such as attendance processes, transportation coordination, facilities support, and office logistics
  • Supporting onboarding and training for new staff to ensure smooth integration into campus systems and culture
  • Managing student devices and campus technology, serving as the on-site tech point of contact and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching classes or supporting academic instruction
  • Coaching Guides or developing curriculum
  • Working in a narrowly defined or purely administrative role
  • Operating in a slow, highly predictable environment
  • Handing off problems instead of owning them through resolution

Key responsibilities

Ensure Nova Academy operates safely, efficiently, and consistently so students, staff, and families experience a high-trust, well-run campus every day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (no specific field required)
  • At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or similar operational roles
  • Comfort with basic technology tasks such as device setup, troubleshooting, and account administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken Spanish and English
  • Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work in person in Austin, TX, or willingness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of operational management experience
  • Experience serving as a Google Administrator
  • Experience planning and executing events
