College Recruiter   $75,000 USD/year

Description

WARNING: This is not your typical recruiting job.

Crossover is hiring a college recruiter to find and convert the next 50 Alpha AI Engineer Interns: elite undergrads from MIT and Stanford, ready to spend their summer building with generative AI. Your job? Fill that class. Fast.

You’ll run the entire cycle: from relationship-building and event logistics to high-volume outreach and candidate conversion. You’ll need to move like a startup operator, think like a talent scout, and execute like a sales leader. This is not about prestige dinners or swag tables. It’s about results: 50 students, summer 2026, Austin, TX. You’ll have full runway — autonomy, budget, clear goals — and nowhere to hide.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on challenge, owns their outcomes, and understands exactly how to find and close top-tier CS talent.

The basics:

  • $75,000/year + all travel covered
  • Full-time employment with benefits
  • Based in the US (with extensive travel to Stanford and MIT)

You might be our ideal candidate if you:

  • Bring contagious energy that turns heads — and makes students show up
  • Treat logistics like a strategy game and love getting every detail right
  • Stay calm under pressure and don’t blink when plans shift last-minute
  • Know how to own a room, move a funnel, and drive toward hard goals
  • Love the pace of campus life and the challenge of turning interest into action
  • Thrive on the road — suitcase packed, calendar full, always a step ahead

If you’re an MIT or Stanford alum — or you know how to win on those campuses — this is the highest-leverage recruiting job you’ll find.

What you will be doing

  • Building and managing a high-conversion funnel of MIT and Stanford CS/ML students from initial outreach to offer acceptances
  • Owning logistics for all on-campus recruiting events — from reserving rooms to ordering food and printing flyers
  • Traveling frequently to Stanford and MIT to run live sessions, info talks, and high-energy touchpoints with students and faculty
  • Running a disciplined, metric-driven campaign: outreach volume, attendance, assessment pass-through, and final class yield
  • Acting as the face of the Alpha AI Engineer internship on campus — responsive, organized, and credible

What you will NOT be doing

  • Waiting for employer brand or HR to drive engagement — you own the outcome, end-to-end
  • Attending campuses casually or doing “light touch” recruiting — this is a full-court press, every week
  • Relying on a logistics team to execute — you’ll book the rooms, ship the swag, and confirm the catering
  • Working a 9-to-5 — peak hours happen when students are free: nights, weekends, midterms

Key responsibilities

Deliver a full, high-caliber Alpha AI Engineer internship class (50+ admits) from MIT and Stanford by May 2026 through direct outreach, events, and application funnel management.

Candidate requirements

  • 1+ years of college recruiting, admissions, or event-based outreach experience
  • Demonstrated success in high-volume outreach and student engagement
  • Proven ability to manage complex event logistics independently
  • Clear communicator, highly organized, self-directed
  • Based anywhere in the US with ability to travel frequently to MIT and Stanford

Nice to have

  • Alumni status from MIT or Stanford
  • Experience recruiting for CS/ML or other technical pipelines
  • Background in sales, campaign organizing, or startup ops
