Description

Are you ready to stop translating features into tickets and translate founder brainwaves into a strategy that ships instead?

This is not a roadmap role. It’s a role for someone who thinks by writing, makes decisions with clarity, and drives direction through documents. Your job isn’t to execute — it’s to clarify what should exist and why, before a single line of code is written. You’ll embed in a founder’s thought process and emerge with frameworks, options, and recommendations that shape how an AI-native product evolves.

Trilogy is behind Ephor.ai — a platform rethinking how people learn using intelligent agents, LLM orchestration, and real-time knowledge synthesis. This is not another AI add-on. It’s strategy-first software, built where the frontier of AI capability meets real-world application. You’ll operate there, partnering with executives to frame decisions, sharpen product direction, and codify principles that make autonomous execution possible.

You won’t need permission to start. But you will need the judgment to finish strong, with documents that unlock action, not meetings that create confusion.

If you’re tired of process-led PM work and ready to write your way into strategic influence, this is the role you’ve been waiting for.

What you will be doing

  • Writing strategic product briefs that turn founder vision into multiple viable directions with tradeoffs, implications, and a clear path forward.
  • Producing decision narratives that clarify complex product calls, contextualize the stakes, and enable execution without additional meetings.
  • Developing durable frameworks (“BrainLifts”) that document evolving product principles, sharpen AI/human collaboration, and scale institutional memory.
  • Surfacing bold pivots or reframes based on user signals, internal constraints, and market shifts — and backing them with structured rationale.
  • Partnering with executives to stress-test assumptions, challenge defaults, and evolve product thinking through high-trust written collaboration.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Managing sprint boards, planning MVPs, or defining success with OKRs — this is not an execution role.
  • Relying on weekly syncs or founder access to get unblocked — your writing is your influence.
  • Shipping surface-level “AI features” — your fluency must shape the product, not just speed it up.
  • Watering down strategy into documentation — your work is the thinking, not the artifact.
  • Delivering what’s asked — you’ll often need to propose something better.

Key responsibilities

Use strategic writing to turn ambiguity into product clarity — shaping direction, influencing decisions, and enabling AI-native execution without process overhead.

Candidate requirements

  • 6+ years in product strategy, product management, or executive-level roles that involved ownership of the “what and why,” not just the “how and when.”
  • 2+ years working directly with a founder or executive in high-trust, unstructured settings to translate evolving vision into actionable product strategy.
  • Strong, hands-on AI fluency — you've built with LLMs or applied AI to accelerate product thinking and are familiar with MCP, agentic workflows, and orchestration frameworks.
  • 2–3 examples of strategic writing that show structured thinking, original framing, and clear articulation of tradeoffs (e.g. briefs, narratives, reframes).
  • A history of thriving in low-structure environments and creating clarity from chaos — without waiting for consensus or permission.
  • Ability to influence through documents, not access — you’ve built trust through clarity, not control.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication — this is a doc-led, not meeting-led, role.
  • Availability for 2–3 hours of daily overlap with U.S. business hours.
