Description

This is not an administrative role. It is a control tower for a high-visibility founder.

You will operate as a senior executive partner to a visible founder, working in direct partnership with the Chief of Staff. Your job is to control time, access, and external communication with precision. Every inbound request, meeting, introduction, interview, and public appearance flows through you. You decide what earns attention, what gets redirected, and what does not move forward. If you prefer partnership over politics and shared control over ego, you will love this role.

This role is fully remote and fully embedded. You will be synced to the founder’s daily cadence, protecting deep work and shaping how the outside world interacts with the office. If you have supported a publicly visible CEO, hedge fund manager, investor, or UHNW principal, you understand the stakes. One poorly filtered meeting wastes hours. One careless email can damage reputation. Your judgment prevents both.

This role exists to protect and scale the founder’s impact. The right person brings discretion, speed, and independent decision-making. You know which conversations compound value and which create noise. If you are at your best when trusted with real authority, this is your seat.

Apply only if you have already operated at this level and want full ownership of it.

What you will be doing

  • Own the founder’s inbox and calendar, filtering high-volume inbound so only high-leverage conversations reach the founder.
  • Serve as the primary external point of contact for senior stakeholders, including CEOs, investors, advisors, and media.
  • Draft and ghostwrite executive-level communication that is concise, clear, and aligned with strategic intent.
  • Prepare structured briefs for meetings and appearances, including stakeholder context, objectives, risks, and required follow-ups.
  • Partner daily with the Chief of Staff to align scheduling, priorities, and external engagement with company strategy.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Acting as a passive scheduler who forwards decisions up the chain.
  • Waiting for step-by-step instructions before taking action.
  • Managing low-impact internal admin projects unrelated to executive leverage.
  • Measuring success by task volume instead of judgment and outcomes.
  • Treating a remote role as lower accountability or lower standards.

Key responsibilities

Protect and scale the founder’s effectiveness by exercising independent control over time, access, and external communication.

Candidate requirements

  • 5+ years directly supporting a Founder, C-suite executive, or UHNW principal in a private office, family office, or equivalent high-stakes environment.
  • Full ownership of a complex executive inbox and calendar where you independently filtered access and controlled time.
  • Ghostwritten high-stakes communications (board, investor, press, or public-facing) that were sent under the executive’s name without revision.
  • Trusted with direct, unsupervised access to sensitive materials such as M&A discussions, financial data, personnel matters, or unreleased strategic initiatives.
  • Made independent tactical decisions daily in partnership with an executive, escalating only true strategic tradeoffs.
  • Identified a broken executive workflow, redesigned it, and delivered measurable time savings.
  • Navigated a high-complexity travel or scheduling crisis with ≤24-hour changes in a high-stakes setting.
  • Hands-on fluency with Google Suite and modern project management tools (Notion, Asana, or similar).
  • Applied AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to materially improve executive support workflows.
  • Based in the U.S., authorized to work without sponsorship, and aligned to senior-executive availability rhythms.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a tandem model with a Chief of Staff or within a structured private office.
  • Background in finance, technology, media, or other high-reputation, high-visibility environments.
  • Experience supporting executives during public-facing growth, fundraising, or major strategic initiatives.
