Admissions Associate - San Francisco   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You will be the first point of contact for families deciding where their child’s educational journey begins. Every message you send, event you coordinate, and conversation you lead will shape whether a family chooses Alpha. This role is designed for someone who values precision, responsiveness, and genuine human connection, and who understands that trust is built through thoughtful execution.

Alpha is building one of the most ambitious school models in the world. Our campuses blend rigorous academics, technology-powered learning, and high standards for students and staff alike. Admissions is where that vision comes to life. Families are not just looking for information. They are looking for clarity, confidence, and evidence that Alpha stands apart in meaningful ways.

In this position, you will manage the full experience for prospective families from their first inquiry forward. You will respond promptly and thoughtfully, organize campus tours and shadow visits, maintain accurate applicant data, and guide parents through how Alpha operates and whether it aligns with their goals. This is a visible, relationship-driven role where you directly influence enrollment decisions.

This is a fast-paced, on-campus role in San Francisco for someone who can manage multiple priorities with accuracy and care. If you take pride in clear communication, strong follow-through, and helping families make well-informed choices, this role offers significant ownership and impact.

What you will be doing

  • Responding to inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours using clear, professional, and Alpha-aligned communication
  • Planning and executing admissions events, campus tours, and student shadow days from logistics through post-visit follow-up
  • Maintaining complete and accurate applicant records across CRM and admissions platforms
  • Meeting with families to explain Alpha’s model, address questions, and capture relevant insights
  • Collaborating with campus and admissions colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient admissions pipeline

What you will NOT be doing

  • Making final admissions decisions or determining enrollment policy
  • Teaching courses or overseeing curriculum
  • Using high-pressure sales tactics or scripted outreach
  • Operating in an unstructured or slow-moving environment

Key responsibilities

Deliver a seamless, high-conversion admissions experience that transforms initial interest into confident enrollment while ensuring families feel informed, respected, and excited to join Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operational role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States
