Full Stack Engineer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

  • Remote · Contractor · $50/hr

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who excels at tackling complex technical problems and shipping high-impact features. In this role, you will create innovative AI-powered products that reshape learning and development. Your work will emphasize quality execution and ensure our solutions are impactful, maintainable, and scalable.

You will contribute to products that are redefining education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures in a TikTok-style learning format.
  • TeachTales: Delivers personalized, enchanting storytelling to students, enhancing their comprehension.
  • TimeBack: Serves as a learning copilot integrated into existing applications, offering proactive student coaching.
  • Athena: Employs AI-generated videos and assessments to produce measurable academic results.

This position is designed to generate tangible impact by delivering functional software. You will leverage AI tooling and cloud-native infrastructure to construct full-stack systems that address meaningful challenges, not merely complete task lists. You will be required to ship quickly without compromising quality, selecting the simplest appropriate solution that harmonizes immediate velocity with sustained maintainability.

If you are prepared to tackle demanding technical problems and ship features that matter, we want to connect with you.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and Deploy Full-Stack Features: Drive user stories from concept to delivery; clarify requirements, architect scalable solutions, implement backend and frontend logic, conduct thorough testing, and deploy to production
  • Identify and Resolve Bugs: Perform root cause analysis on issues, address underlying problems (not surface symptoms), and prevent regressions through intelligent testing strategies
  • Elevate Code Quality Standards: Examine plans and pull requests to ensure they are clear, simple, and correct, preventing technical debt at its source

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backends without clear purpose
  • Following specifications blindly without grasping the underlying problem
  • Spending time in prolonged meetings about roadmaps and priorities or tracking down stakeholders
  • Simply delivering features; you will be accountable for solving genuine problems

Key responsibilities

  • Applying AI to develop software that addresses real user needs, ships rapidly, and remains maintainable over time

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience writing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework).
  • Strong ownership: Proven track record of owning entire modules, product features, or teams, beyond just isolated task contributions
  • Independent execution: Capacity to unblock yourself, establish your own rhythm, and navigate ambiguous scenarios effectively
  • Hands-on experience using generative A.I. in your daily development workflow
