Full Stack Engineer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

Are you a Full-Stack Engineer drawn to complex problem-solving and the delivery of high-impact features? This role centers on building innovative AI-powered products that reshape the learning and growth experience. Your focus will be on high-quality execution, creating products that are scalable, maintainable, and truly impactful.

Our portfolio of learning transformation products includes:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-style learning interface.
  • TeachTales: Delivers personalized, magical storytelling experiences that enhance student comprehension.
  • TimeBack: Serves as a learning copilot, integrating with existing applications to proactively guide students.
  • Athena: Deploys AI-generated videos and assessments to produce measurable academic results.

This position is designed to generate real-world impact through functional software. You will leverage AI tools and cloud-native platforms to construct full-stack systems addressing meaningful challenges—not simply completing task lists. The expectation is to ship quickly while maintaining standards, selecting the simplest correct approach that reconciles immediate velocity with future maintainability.

If solving intricate technical problems and shipping impactful features appeals to you, we encourage your application.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and Deploy Full-Stack Features: Shepherd user stories from concept to delivery; clarify requirements, architect scalable solutions, implement backend and frontend code, conduct thorough testing, and release to production
  • Identify and Resolve Bugs: Conduct root cause investigations, address underlying issues rather than surface symptoms, and prevent regressions through intelligent testing strategies
  • Elevate Code Quality Standards: Assess plans and pull requests to verify clarity, simplicity, and correctness, preventing technical debt at its source

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or elaborate backend systems without purpose
  • Executing specifications without grasping the underlying problem
  • Spending time in protracted meetings about roadmaps and priorities or coordinating across stakeholders
  • Merely delivering features; your accountability extends to solving genuine problems

Key responsibilities

  • Applying AI to develop software that addresses authentic user needs, ships rapidly, and remains maintainable over time

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience writing production code for web applications' frontend and backend (any framework).
  • Strong ownership: Proven track record owning complete modules, product features, or teams, beyond isolated task contributions
  • Independent execution: Capacity to self-unblock, maintain your own momentum, and navigate forward through ambiguous circumstances
  • Experience in using generative A.I. in your day-to-day development work
