Lead Software Engineer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

If you're a Full-Stack Engineer energized by tackling complex problems and shipping high-impact features, this is your opportunity. You'll help build cutting-edge AI-driven products that reshape how people learn and develop. Your focus will be on delivering excellent execution—creating products that scale, remain maintainable, and drive meaningful results.

The products you'll work on are redefining education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-style learning platform.
  • TeachTales: Captivates students through personalized, immersive storytelling designed to improve comprehension.
  • TimeBack: Serves as a learning companion that connects with existing applications, offering proactive student coaching.
  • Athena: Employs AI-generated video content and assessments to produce measurable improvements in academic performance.

This position is centered on creating tangible impact through functional software. You'll leverage AI tooling and cloud-native infrastructure to construct full-stack solutions addressing real problems—not simply completing tasks. You'll be expected to deliver rapidly while maintaining quality, selecting the simplest viable approach that achieves both immediate velocity and sustained maintainability.

If you're prepared to tackle significant technical problems and ship features that matter, we want to connect with you.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and Deploy Full-Stack Capabilities: Transform user stories into delivered value; clarify specifications, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, conduct thorough testing, and release to production
  • Identify and Resolve Bugs: Diagnose issues via root cause investigation, address underlying problems rather than surface symptoms, and prevent regressions through intelligent testing strategies
  • Elevate Code Standards: Assess designs and pull requests to verify clarity, simplicity, and correctness, preventing technical debt from entering the codebase

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backend systems for their own sake
  • Executing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying problem
  • Spending excessive time in meetings about roadmaps and priorities or tracking down stakeholders
  • Simply delivering features; you'll own the responsibility for solving genuine problems

Key responsibilities

  • Applying AI to develop software that addresses authentic user needs, ships quickly, and remains maintainable over the long term

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience developing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework).
  • Strong ownership mindset: Proven experience taking full responsibility for modules, product features, or teams—not merely contributing isolated tasks
  • Independent execution capability: The skill to unblock yourself, establish your own momentum, and navigate forward in ambiguous contexts
  • Hands-on experience using generative A.I. as part of your daily development workflow
