Your focus will be on delivering excellence—building systems that are scalable, maintainable, and meaningful.

You'll contribute to products revolutionizing education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-inspired learning interface.
  • TeachTales: Captivates students through personalized, immersive storytelling that enhances understanding.
  • TimeBack: Functions as a learning copilot, embedding into existing applications to coach students proactively.
  • Athena: Delivers measurable academic gains via AI-generated videos and assessments.

This position is designed to create tangible impact through production-ready software. You'll leverage AI tooling and cloud-native platforms to construct full-stack solutions addressing real challenges—not just completing tasks. You'll ship rapidly while maintaining rigor, selecting the simplest viable approach that harmonizes immediate velocity with sustained maintainability.

What you will be doing

  • Design and Deliver Full-Stack Capabilities: Shepherd user stories from concept through production; clarify needs, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, validate thoroughly, and deploy live
  • Diagnose and Resolve Defects: Trace issues to their underlying causes, address root problems rather than surface symptoms, and prevent future regressions through intelligent testing strategies
  • Elevate Engineering Standards: Assess design proposals and code submissions to guarantee clarity, simplicity, and correctness, preventing technical debt at its source

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backend systems as ends in themselves
  • Executing specifications without comprehending the underlying challenge
  • Spending time in protracted meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or tracking down stakeholders
  • Merely delivering features; you'll own solving genuine problems

Key responsibilities

  • Applying AI to develop software that addresses authentic user needs, ships quickly, and remains maintainable over time

Candidate requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience writing production code for web applications' frontend and backend (any framework).
  • Strong ownership: Demonstrated experience owning complete modules, product features, or teams, not just contributing siloed tasks
  • Independent execution: The ability to unblock yourself, set your own pace, and find paths forward in ambiguous situations
  • Experience in using generative A.I. in your day-to-day development work
