Campus Operations Manager   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-run campus feels orderly, approachable, and dependable—the result of countless behind-the-scenes decisions that maintain that standard.

Nova Academy is built to serve students and families who hold their school experience to a higher standard. That standard reaches beyond the classroom. It manifests in the clarity of family communications, the sense of safety students experience, the seamlessness of daily routines, and the speed at which challenges are addressed. This position exists to ensure all of these elements function reliably, every day.

In this position, you own the complete non-academic operations of the campus. You establish trust with families by delivering clear and timely information. You protect student safety by managing procedures and incident protocols. You handle facilities, logistics, and day-to-day operations so that staff remain focused on student needs. You also ensure that technology enables learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a hands-on, community-facing position suited to someone who values variety, accountability, and service. If you find energy in resolving challenges, supporting a community, and building an environment where students and staff succeed, this role provides significant ownership and meaningful impact.

What you will be doing

  • Cultivating strong relationships with parents, students, and staff by providing proactive, bilingual communication
  • Overseeing campus safety operations, including entry protocols, health incidents, emergency drills, record-keeping, and parent notifications
  • Managing daily campus functions such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facilities maintenance, and office operations
  • Assisting with onboarding and training of new staff to ensure seamless integration into campus operations and culture
  • Administering student devices and campus technology, acting as the on-site technical contact and Google Administrator
    • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
    • Coaching teaching staff or creating curriculum materials
    • Functioning in a narrowly scoped or entirely administrative capacity
    • Working within a slow-paced, highly routine environment
    • Delegating problems rather than taking ownership through to resolution

Key responsibilities

Ensure Nova Academy functions safely, efficiently, and reliably so that students, staff, and families encounter a high-trust, well-managed campus each day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with basic technology tasks including device setup, troubleshooting, and account administration
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English for clear, effective communication
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience managing operations
  • Background serving as a Google Administrator
  • Experience coordinating and executing events
