Business Operations Manager   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

Are you tired of waiting on others to resolve issues you could handle immediately? At Nova Academy, you will serve as the operational expert who keeps the campus functioning efficiently, addressing challenges with speed, ingenuity, and personal accountability.

Your responsibilities will span from resolving technical device issues to orchestrating seamless events and maintaining campus security—work that is essential to our mission. Your contributions will be recognized: you'll develop meaningful connections with students, parents, and staff who appreciate your skill and commitment. At Nova Academy, your workday extends beyond mere activity—it delivers purpose, variety, and genuine fulfillment.

Why Nova Academy?

  • Learning from the Best: Work alongside seasoned professionals throughout our network, acquiring knowledge and skills that accelerate your career trajectory.
  • Growth Opportunities: With guidance from the Campus Director and Lead Campus Coordinator, you will progressively assume greater responsibilities, ranging from parent engagement to operational leadership, expanding your expertise and influence.
  • Playbook for Success: Leverage a proven operational framework, becoming proficient in developing, refining, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across a rapidly growing school network.
  • Training and Mentorship: As you develop, you will support others' growth by delivering training and mentorship to new team members across multiple campuses.

If you are prepared to leave behind an environment characterized by micromanagement, red tape, or minimal impact and enter a role where your judgment counts, join us.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of daily campus operations—spanning fire safety, staff onboarding, and maintaining an optimal learning environment.
  • Addressing technical challenges directly: diagnosing problems, overseeing device migrations, and acting as the primary resource for technology support.
  • Preparing polished, professional environments for events and guaranteeing flawless execution.
  • Establishing trust with students, parents, and staff through transparent communication and exceptional service delivery.
  • Maintaining campus safety via robust protocols, drills, and security procedures.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching or creating curriculum—your mandate centers on operational excellence, not educational content.
  • Following rigid procedures or waiting for others to act—this position demands proactive ownership.
  • Operating independently—success in this role depends on collaboration and active community involvement.
  • Performing monotonous or repetitive work—this position provides diversity and substantive challenges.

Key responsibilities

Guarantee smooth campus operations while cultivating trust and providing outstanding service to students, staff, and parents.

  • Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot issues and handle operational logistics confidently
