Campus Support Specialist   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-functioning campus appears calm, organized, and inviting—because someone is orchestrating countless decisions behind the scenes to maintain that environment.

Nova Academy serves students and families who demand excellence from their school experience. That standard reaches beyond the classroom. It is reflected in family communications, student safety, operational flow, and problem resolution speed. This position ensures all of those elements function reliably, every day.

In this capacity, you hold accountability for the complete non-academic operation of the campus. You establish family trust through transparent, timely engagement. You protect student welfare by managing safety protocols and incident management. You oversee facilities, logistics, and daily functions so staff remain focused on students. You also ensure that technology enables learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a practical, community-facing position for someone who thrives on variety, accountability, and service. If you are motivated by problem-solving, community support, and building an environment where students and staff flourish, this role provides substantial ownership and impact.

What you will be doing

  • Cultivating positive relationships with parents, students, and staff through proactive, bilingual engagement
  • Directing campus safety functions, including entry protocols, health response, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising daily campus functions such as attendance management, transportation logistics, facility maintenance, and office operations
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new staff to ensure seamless adoption of campus systems and culture
  • Overseeing student technology and campus devices, acting as the primary on-site tech resource and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or supporting academic teaching
  • Mentoring Guides or building curriculum
  • Functioning in a narrowly scoped or exclusively administrative capacity
  • Working in a slow-paced, highly routine environment
  • Escalating problems rather than owning them to completion

Key responsibilities

Ensure Nova Academy functions safely, efficiently, and reliably so students, staff, and families experience a high-trust, professionally managed campus every day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with basic technology responsibilities such as device configuration, troubleshooting, and account management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Capacity to handle multiple priorities with precision and attention to detail
  • Fluency in both spoken Spanish and English
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site in Austin, TX, or readiness to relocate

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of operational management experience
  • Prior experience serving as a Google Administrator
  • Background in event planning and execution
