Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, TX campus.

A well-run campus feels orderly, approachable, and peaceful—because someone is handling countless details in the background to maintain that standard.

Nova Academy is designed for students and families who demand excellence in their educational environment. That standard applies beyond the classroom. It is reflected in communication with families, in the sense of security students experience, in the efficiency of daily routines, and in the speed with which issues are addressed. This position ensures those elements function reliably, each day.

In this position, you oversee the complete non-instructional operation of the campus. You establish credibility with families by providing clear and timely updates. You protect student safety by managing protocols and responding to incidents. You handle facilities, logistics, and operational tasks so educators remain focused on instruction. You also ensure that technology enables learning instead of disrupting it.

This is a practical, community-oriented role suited to someone who values variety, accountability, and contribution. If you find purpose in resolving challenges, supporting others, and building an environment where students and staff succeed, this position delivers substantial responsibility and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Developing trust-based relationships with parents, students, and staff by maintaining proactive, bilingual outreach
  • Directing campus safety systems, including entry protocols, medical incidents, emergency drills, record-keeping, and family notifications
  • Supervising day-to-day campus functions such as attendance tracking, transportation logistics, facility maintenance, and administrative workflows
  • Facilitating onboarding and orientation for new staff members to promote seamless adoption of campus procedures and values
  • Administering student technology and campus systems, acting as the primary on-site technical resource and Google Administrator

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum development
  • Functioning in a rigidly defined or exclusively clerical capacity
  • Working within a slow-paced, entirely routine setting
  • Delegating issues rather than managing them to completion

Key responsibilities

Guarantee that Nova Academy functions safely, smoothly, and reliably so students, staff, and families encounter a high-integrity, professionally managed campus every day.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Confidence working with fundamental technology tasks including device configuration, issue resolution, and account management
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities
  • Capability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining precision
  • Proficiency in communicating fluently in both Spanish and English
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Readiness to work on-site in Austin, TX, or willingness to relocate to the area

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience in operational management
  • Prior experience serving as a Google Administrator
  • Background in event planning and execution
