IT Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an on-site position based at our Austin, TX campus.

Are you frustrated by waiting on others to resolve issues you know you could handle immediately? At Nova Academy, you will serve as the go-to expert ensuring seamless campus operations—addressing challenges with initiative, resourcefulness, and accountability.

Your responsibilities will span from resolving technical device issues to orchestrating successful events and maintaining campus security. This work is essential to our mission. You will develop meaningful connections with students, parents, and staff who depend on your skills and commitment. At Nova Academy, your role extends beyond simply staying occupied—it is purposeful, varied, and genuinely fulfilling.

Why Nova Academy?

  • Learning from the Best: Work alongside seasoned professionals throughout our network, acquiring knowledge and skills that accelerate your professional development.
  • Growth Opportunities: With guidance from the Campus Director and Lead Campus Coordinator, you will gradually assume expanded responsibilities—from stakeholder communication to operational leadership—building your capabilities and impact.
  • Playbook for Success: Utilize a proven framework to master the development, refinement, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within a fast-growing school network.
  • Training and Mentorship: As you develop, help others succeed by delivering training and mentorship to incoming staff across multiple campuses.

If you are looking to leave behind micromanagement, excessive bureaucracy, or low-impact work and move into a position where your contributions truly count, we invite you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Managing day-to-day campus operations—spanning fire safety protocols, staff onboarding processes, and maintaining an optimal learning environment.
  • Addressing technical issues directly: diagnosing problems, overseeing device migrations, and acting as the primary point of contact for technology support.
  • Preparing refined, professional event spaces and ensuring flawless execution.
  • Establishing credibility with students, parents, and staff through transparent communication and exceptional service delivery.
  • Upholding campus safety via robust protocols, regular drills, and comprehensive security practices.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Engaging in teaching or curriculum development—your mission centers on operational performance, not instructional design.
  • Following inflexible procedures or deferring to others for decisions—this position demands proactive leadership.
  • Operating independently without support—success in this role depends on teamwork and active community involvement.
  • Performing routine, unchanging work—this position provides diversity and substantive challenges.

Key responsibilities

Maintain smooth campus operations while earning trust and providing outstanding service to students, staff, and parents.
