School Operations Coordinator   $60,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an on-site position based at our Austin, TX campus.

Are you tired of watching others slowly address problems you know you could resolve immediately? At Nova Academy, you'll serve as the go-to operational expert who keeps the campus functioning seamlessly—addressing challenges with agility, resourcefulness, and full accountability.

Your responsibilities will span from resolving technical device issues to orchestrating seamless events and maintaining campus security. This work is essential to our mission. Your contributions will be recognized—you'll develop strong connections with students, families, and colleagues who appreciate your skill and commitment. At Nova Academy, your workday is more than packed—it's purposeful, varied, and genuinely fulfilling.

Why Nova Academy?

  • Learning from the Best: Work alongside seasoned professionals throughout our network, acquiring knowledge and skills that accelerate your professional development.
  • Growth Opportunities: With guidance from the Campus Director and Lead Campus Coordinator, gradually assume broader responsibilities—from family engagement to operational leadership—expanding your capabilities and impact.
  • Playbook for Success: Utilize a proven operational framework, becoming proficient in developing, refining, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across a fast-growing school network.
  • Training and Mentorship: As your expertise deepens, support the development of others by training and mentoring new team members at different campuses.

If you're eager to leave behind micromanagement, red tape, or minimal impact and move into a position where your choices truly count, we invite you to join us.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of daily campus operations—from fire safety protocols to staff onboarding and maintaining an optimal learning environment.
  • Addressing technical challenges directly: diagnosing problems, overseeing device transitions, and acting as the primary resource for technology support.
  • Preparing professional, well-organized spaces for events and guaranteeing flawless execution.
  • Establishing credibility with students, families, and colleagues through transparent communication and superior service.
  • Upholding campus security by implementing robust protocols, conducting drills, and enforcing safety standards.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching classes or creating curriculum—your priority is operational performance, not instructional design.
  • Following inflexible procedures or waiting for others to act—this position demands proactive decision-making.
  • Operating independently—effectiveness in this role depends on teamwork and active community involvement.
  • Performing monotonous or repetitive duties—this position provides diversity and substantive challenges.
