Description

NYC CAMPUS OPPORTUNITY: Full-time, on-site position at our Manhattan location.

Ready to escape the mundane world of traditional education administration? Alpha is redefining what's possible when brilliant students are given the tools and environment they deserve. We're seeking an operational mastermind who gets energized by creating the perfect conditions for academic excellence.

This isn't your typical school - Alpha is where exceptional students complete their entire high school journey by 8th grade, consistently achieving perfect AP scores and SAT results above 1350. As our Operations Coordinator, you'll be the invisible force that makes our groundbreaking 2-Hour Learning methodology possible, orchestrating behind-the-scenes magic while students accelerate through academics at double the standard rate.

From maintaining cutting-edge safety standards to troubleshooting the tech that powers our innovation, you'll create the operational foundation that lets our educational guides focus purely on nurturing these remarkable minds. This role puts you at the heart of an educational movement that celebrates intellectual competition, champions student autonomy, and refuses to accept limits on what young people can achieve. Ready to be part of rewriting the rules of gifted education?

What you will be doing

  • Orchestrate seamless day-to-day campus operations that keep our innovative learning environment running like clockwork.
  • Serve as our first-line tech support hero, troubleshooting devices and coordinating with IT specialists for complex issues.
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships across our community - connecting with students, families, and team members through clear, impactful communication.
  • Champion campus security by implementing and maintaining comprehensive safety protocols that protect our learning community.
  • Drive success in campus initiatives, from coordinating special events to streamlining staff integration and optimizing our physical learning spaces.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering instruction or designing educational content - our specialized guides own the student development journey while you perfect the operational foundation
  • Operating in a silo where your work doesn't directly impact student success and family experience
  • Getting bogged down in bureaucratic busy work that doesn't advance our core mission of unleashing unlimited student potential

Key responsibilities

Become the operational powerhouse behind an educational breakthrough that's redefining what's possible - orchestrate a campus where every system works flawlessly, every student flourishes, and every family experiences something truly transformational.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 2 years successfully coordinating complex operations in educational settings, event management, hospitality, or comparable environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, proactive problem-solving, and seamlessly balancing competing demands
  • Solid technical foundation with basic IT troubleshooting skills and experience managing Google Workspace environments
  • Exceptional communication abilities that inspire confidence and strengthen community connections
  • Full work authorization in the United States (no visa sponsorship available) and commitment to daily on-site presence in New York City
