Consultant   $100,000 USD/year

Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This position requires on-site presence at our Austin, Texas campus.

Traditional schools focus on telling students what to think. This position centers on teaching them how to execute.

Alpha is creating a fundamentally different high school—one where students don't passively attend lectures or commit facts to memory. Instead, they build, ship, communicate, and advance. They launch projects, validate concepts, and acquire real-world competencies that many adults never obtain. Your mission is to ensure they follow through with excellence.

You will engage directly with high school students as they launch businesses, manage projects, and cultivate the confidence, communication skills, and capabilities necessary for post-graduation success. Your focus is not theoretical instruction. Your focus is execution coaching. You will establish demanding standards, enforce accountability, and challenge students to deliver work that meets real-world benchmarks.

This position suits individuals who have accomplished something substantive beyond academic settings—launched a product, cultivated an audience, operated within a startup, or delivered results in dynamic environments—and wish to leverage that experience to develop emerging talent. If you seek a conventional teaching position, look elsewhere. If you aim to influence how driven teenagers think, operate, and perform, this is your opportunity.

If you have built something meaningful in your career and are ready to dedicate your days to propelling motivated teenagers toward their full potential, this is your platform. Apply now.

  • Monitor student development across the 3 C's and take corrective action when performance declines
  • Maintain transparent communication with students and parents regarding progress, performance gaps, and development priorities

What you will NOT be doing

  • Conducting traditional lectures or following standardized curricula
  • Evaluating large volumes of homework or emphasizing theoretical concepts
  • Coddling disengaged students or compromising standards for the sake of comfort
  • Working within a slow-moving, bureaucratic educational institution
