Doctoral Researcher   $100,000 USD/year

Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This position requires on-site work at our Austin, Texas campus.

Traditional schools focus on teaching students what to think. This position is designed to teach them how to execute.

Alpha is creating a reimagined high school experience—one where students don't passively absorb lectures or memorize facts. Instead, they build, ship, communicate, and grow. They launch projects, experiment with ideas, and acquire practical skills that many adults never obtain. Your responsibility is to ensure they follow through and perform at a high level.

You will engage directly with high school students as they launch businesses, manage projects, and cultivate the confidence, communication skills, and capabilities needed to thrive beyond the classroom. You are not here to deliver theory. You are here to facilitate execution. You will establish rigorous standards, maintain accountability, and challenge students to create work that meets real-world benchmarks.

This position is designed for individuals who have accomplished something substantial outside traditional academic settings—whether building a product, expanding an audience, operating within a startup, or delivering results in a demanding environment—and wish to leverage that experience to develop the next generation. If you seek a conventional teaching position, this is not the right fit. If you want to influence how driven teenagers think, operate, and perform, this is the opportunity.

If you have achieved something tangible in your career and want to dedicate your time to guiding motivated teenagers toward their potential, this is the place to do it. Apply now
