Marketing Coordinator   $100,000 USD/year

Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This position requires full-time, in-person presence at our Austin, Texas campus.

Traditional education trains students on what to think. This position focuses on teaching them how to execute.

Alpha is creating a reimagined high school model—one that eliminates lectures and rote memorization. Instead, students build, ship, communicate, and advance. They launch projects, experiment with concepts, and cultivate practical skills that many professionals never acquire. Your responsibility is ensuring they follow through and excel.

You will engage directly with high school students as they launch ventures, manage initiatives, and build the confidence, communication ability, and competence needed for success after graduation. Theory instruction is not your mandate. Your mandate is execution coaching. You will establish rigorous expectations, maintain accountability, and challenge students to deliver work that meets real-world standards.

This opportunity suits individuals who have accomplished something substantial outside academic settings—launched a product, expanded an audience, worked within a startup, or achieved results in dynamic environments—and wish to leverage that background to cultivate emerging talent. If you seek a conventional teaching position, look elsewhere. If you aim to influence how driven teenagers think, act, and perform, you belong here.

If you have genuine professional accomplishments and want to dedicate your time guiding motivated teenagers toward their full capability, apply now.

What you will be doing

  • Develop practical workshops that teach students authentic social media audience growth strategies
  • Mentor students on content planning, spanning ideation through AI-assisted optimization
  • Support students in transforming their areas of personal expertise into viable personal brands
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group coaching to help students establish objectives, maintain consistent execution, and produce concrete deliverables
  • Maintain rigorous standards for student communication, output quality, and commitment
  • Shepherd students through practical projects (entrepreneurship, marketing, software development, etc.) while demanding measurable outcomes
  • Monitor student advancement across the 3 C's framework and address performance declines proactively
  • Maintain transparent communication with students and families regarding development, deficiencies, and recommended actions

What you will NOT be doing

  • Conducting conventional lectures or following standardized curricula
  • Evaluating large volumes of assignments or emphasizing abstract concepts
  • Accommodating disengaged students or compromising standards for convenience
  • Functioning within a sluggish, bureaucratic educational institution

Key responsibilities

Generate quantifiable improvements in students' confidence, communication abilities, and practical competence by coaching them toward sustained high-level execution.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven record of significant personal accomplishment in one or more applied domains: company creation, audience development, revenue generation, research publication, elite-level competition, or equivalent
  • Effective coaching and mentoring capabilities, with demonstrated ability to motivate adolescents
  • 3+ years of experience coaching/mentoring teenagers
  • Superior communication and presentation abilities
  • Proficiency with AI technologies (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
  • Available for on-site work in Austin, TX. Relocation support provided
  • Authorized to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Specialized expertise in at least one applied field (entrepreneurship, medicine, sales, technology, creative industries, finance, athletics) that enables detailed, practical contributions to student sessions and workshops
  • Background working in a startup or rapid-growth organization at any capacity
